I was walking down the street when I heard Jacob yell for me.

"Sarah! Sarah! I just met the most amazing girl!" He said.

"Oh?"

"Her names Kayla. She has blonde hair and brown eyes. We met at Starbucks because they got our orders mixed up. We started talking and couldn't stop. I asked her out and now we're official!"

"Wait...when was this?" I asked concerned.

"Like, five minutes ago."

"You've known her less than a day and you're already dating?!?!" I said in an angry tone.

"Hakuna your tata's. I really like her and you can't do anything about it." He argued. He ran back to his house and I stood there in shock. I couldn't believe it.
"He's taken. I don't have a chance. I'm screwed. Kill me now." I ran home almost in tears and ran straight to my room. I started crying right when I got there. Luckily my window was closed so Jacob couldn't see. I called Issy and she came over immediately. She knows just what to do when I'm sad. She brought vanilla ice cream, cookies, doritos, and tissues. I started crying into her shoulder and she was so comforting. We invited Kristina over too to get my emotions out and talk trash. We looked her up on Instagram.

"She'z nhot heaven cut." I said while crying.

"Whet?" Said Kristina.

"She's not even cute." Issy said.

"She looks like a ginger snap cookie!" Kristina said. I laughed.

"Thanks guys. Could you spend the night?" I asked. They called their parents and spent the night.

We decided to go out back and throw the lacrosse ball. Neither Issy nor Kristina were very good so we switched the game to catch. They made me feel like I deserved to be in the world which made me really happy. My dad came out and looked like he had something really exciting to tell me.

"Hey Sarah, can I talk to you for one moment?"

"Sure." I jogged over to him.

" I have been in the military for twenty four years now and I'm now retiring. We're staying in Virgina!" He practically yelled.

Half of me was happy and half of me was sad. I was happy because I got to stay with my friends. Half of me was sad because I'd have my heart broken multiple times by Jacob. When my dad told me I didn't acknowledge the sad part till later that night.
