Chapter 11: Innocence

Spencer's POV
When I got out of the shower I quickly dried myself off with a towel and put on a pair of boxers and an old tee shirt. Before I went to bed I just had to look at Rin. She was precious already asleep at 8:00. I was about to turn off the lamp next to our beds but first I quietly walked over being careful not to wake her. I then placed a kiss on top of her forehead. I could sleep soundly now.

I woke up to a thump on my back. It kept repeating and a giggle followed each one. I then realized what was happening. I let Rin try to start a pillow fight for about thirty more seconds. Then, "Come here you!" I yelled as I jerked and pulled her in next to me. Before she could even say no she was already consumed in laughter.

"Spencer, hahaha, stop, HAHA, tickling me," she was trying to get out.

I tickled her for about one more minute then I scooped my arms under the arch of her back and pulled her on top of me and into a deep kiss. We kissed for about two minutes and she giggled the whole time, well in between playing with my hair and grabbing my face.

"Come on Spence we need to get up now it 7:00," she said now serious but she was still laying next to me while my arm over her side pulled her close.

"Fine," I responded before she placed a gentle kiss on my cheek.

We both sat up and started to get ready. About a hour later we headed down stairs for the breakfast buffs and to meet the rest of our team. When we reached the main lobby Morgan looked over and gave me a nod and a wink. I wanted so bad to kiss her right there to shut him up but I had to play along and just roll my eyes. Rin walked over to meet with the girls and I walked over to start serving myself. I knew that the Derek and David were right in my tail.

"So lover boy , did ya make your move last night?" David asked trying to impersonate Morgan.

"Oh my god we're just friends why can't you guys just drop it," I said in a throughly annoyed tone.

"What ever little man, just remember what happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas."
Morgan replied as him and Rossi grabbed plates and followed behind me.

Corinne's POV
I waved good bye to Spencer and jogged over to meet the ladies. They were sitting down at a table eating and they had already made a plate for me.

"Well good morning," JJ said in a suspicious voice, "so what happened last night?"

"Oh you mean how it was super sexy that Spence and I," their mouths dropped open waiting for me to finish my sentence, "both dressed in sweats and slept in different beds." I said cracking up in between words.

"Uggggh well you to better get together soon. The tension is unbearable. " Emily laughed.

We all had to laugh. I really wanted to tell them but i restrained myself. When we finished our breakfast Hotch walked into the lobby and told us the plan for today.

"Okay this morning all of are going to go to the address Garcia sent for Nancy Bird and try to recover Kevin before he loses his innocence." We all nodded. I could tell this case was hard for Hotvh because the victims were his son Jack's age and they all looked like him. "Alright let's move out." He finished in his usual monotoned voice.

We all hopped into two SUVs, Rossi, Hotch and JJ in one with Reid, Emily, Morgan and myself in the other. I almost didn't get into this car but when I saw Reid take the passages seat I decided what could be the harm if we were in different parts of the car. I mean this was for serious work business. I was terribly wrong.

The address was fifteen minutes away so I decided Garcia so she could tell us about the property. "Hello is the queen of awesome there?" I asked playfully.

"Yes she is. Is my newly taken woman there?" She replied. Everyone in the car shot their head in my direction at the same time.

"Well yes she is," I began in a panicked voice, " I'm in the car with Emily, Derek and Reid." I said through gritted teeth but with a cheery voice.

"Oh my well," she started trying to come up with an excuse, "when we hang up why don't you tell them about the friend you caught up with back in Buffalo. The one who you told me about." She replied. I had to admit it was a great coverup. Spencer's face was immediately relived.

"I'll be sure to Pen. But right now can you tell us about the make up of the house." I asked trying to get the conversation to a normal point. She explained everything to us, I thanked her then hung up.

Morgan looked into the rear view mirror and gave me a wink, "so tell us about this boyfriend of yours."

"Well he's tall, got dark hair that should be cut but i like the way it is. Is hot af and umm," I needed to make it sound less like Reid, "I've know him since middle school , it's really funny he was my first real boyfriend in tenth grade," as I continued talking and I pulled out my phone and texted spence acting like I was texting my friends. The text said, Sorry I'm making some of this up. You'll be able to tell which parts. your perfect the way you are😘. I continued on with my story, "he's very athletic and sweet. Very handsome. He's super sweet and treats me like a queen."

"Well you shut up. Your going to make all of us jealous. " Prentiss finished.

Soon later we arrived at the scene. When we walked in JJ found Kevin outside in a little barn. Garcia had told us about. Hotch and Morgan found Nancy cooking in the kitchen. When we got back to the station she admitted to all of the crimes. I was so relieved that this case was over. All of the families could have peace and I could go to sleep. When we wrapped up the case it was 2:30. If we left on the jet now we'd be home by 6.

The flight was smooth and there was no turbulence. Everyone slept and played different games. I checked my phone and noticed Spencer looking at me. I then got a text message.

When we land drive over to my place. I'll text you the address when you get into your car.

This made me smile so much all I could respond was

We landed about thirty minutes later and I was off to Spencer's apartment for the first time. When I arrived at the door I could smell something amazing as I knocked. I heard foot steps from inside walk across the hard wood floor and to the door.

"Well hello," he said opening the door and kissing my cheek, " I have a surprise for you!" He said while grabbing my hand, spinning me around and then wrapping our arms around my waist and swaying back and fourth.
