Chapter 24: Babysitting

Corinne's POV
*3 months later*
"I'd love to Will. See you. In two hours." JJ said before she hung up her phone and places it into her pocket.

We were heading back home from a case in New Mexico where the unsub has been cutting off people's toes and selling them on the black market so that he could pay his over due rent. Creepy I know. Some of these people were just really weird. Anyways we had been in the air for a while now and we're landing in two hours. Spencer sat across from my our hands outstretched across the table as we both read our books. JJ was sitting next to me with Emily across from her. Morgan was in his usual place in the couch except for the fact that he was sleeping. The case had really worn him out I guess. Hotch was currently getting a coffee and Rossi was playing a game of solitaire with his favorite deck of cards. They were seated in their normal seats back to back with JJ and I.

"Hey Spence?" JJ asked and he looked up from his book.

"Yeah?"

"Would you mind watching Henry tonight? Will and I are going out and I know he's love to spend time with his uncle Spencer. Corinne you can go with him if you'd like to." She finished.

"Of course I would J, I live the little man. Corinne?" He asked while looking at me, our hands still interlocked.

"Yeah totally. I haven't seen Henry since Garcia's Easter party. What time do you need us?" I replied overjoyed that I got to spend the night with my boyfriend and my little man. It was June now and Id been working for the BAU for ten months and Spencer and I had been together for a little over nine.

"How about an hour after we get home?" Jennifer asked while cocking her head slightly to the left and raising the pitch in her voice an octave or two.

"That's perfect!" Spencer said in an excited tone. It was so cute to see him get like this he was great with kids.

"See you then JJ," I added.

When we landed I headed into the office with Emily to grab our stuff. Spence and I had different cars at the office right now so I was just going to meet him back home in a couple of minutes.

"I'm so happy that you and Spencer will get to spend a night alone with Henry." She said as she walked over the her desk which was located next to mine and across from Spencer's.

"And whys that, Ms. Prentiss?" I giggled out responding to her rather odd comment. To tell the truth I was very confused and I'm a certified genius. I wanted to know what she has meant by saying that.

"Well, after a case last year we had all had a party and Henry and jack were playing together and Spencer was liking at them and smiling. I walked up to him and gave him a bit of a spook and we began a conversation. I asked him if he ever wanted that. A family of his own. After that he looked at me with a huge smile on his face and said 'absolutely. I want to be the father that I never had. I want to find the right girl and I what to have a family with her and be in love. It's my dream Emily.' It was the sweetest thing I had ever heard. And now that he's meet you, I can just picture you guys having a family of little geniuses running around. I'm excited because you guys will get a taste of the future I hope that you guys will have together." She finished with a huge smile across her face.

"Awwwww Em. I love you!" I said bringing her into a tight hug as we reached the elevator door. I let go and pressed the button and our conversation continued on.

"What about you?" Emily turned and asked me.

I had never really thought about it. I mean I was only 24. I had always loved the idea but my work had always been my baby. But then again Spencer was the perfect guys for it.

"To honest I'm not sure Em. Spencer is so perfect and if it were anyone else the it would be a no. I-im just to young I guess. I've never thought about it. I mean I just graduated from college and the academy not even a year ago." I responded being totally honest.

"I get that," we arrived at our cars, "see you tomorrow gf," she said as she opened her car door.

"Bye gf!" I said as I  hopped into my car and headed home. Before I pulled out of the parking lot I texted Soencer and told him to grab a few things for me and to be ready because I'm just going to pick him up and we'll head over to JJ's house.

I pulled into our complex's parking lot right next to where Spencer was standing. "Hey beautiful!," he said as he entered the car and gave me a kiss on the cheek. No matter how long we've been together it still made me shiver and blush. I did not think that, that feeling would ever go away.

"Hey, you ready?" I asked as i looked into his gorgeous brown eyes.

"Yep!" He said and I pulled out of the parking lot.

We arrived at the house about ten minutes later. As I undid my seat belt Spencer got out of the car and opened my door like the gentleman he is.

"Why thank you Dr. Reid," I said as I got out of the car. I hadn't called him that in forever. He just laughed as we walked towards the door.

He knocked on the door and only seconds later we heard little footsteps running towards the door and then heavy ones following after. Will opened the door. "Hey guys thank you so much for coming to watch Henry tonight."

"Anytime Will," Spencer said while giving him a bro hug. After that will and I hugged.

"Uncle Spencer! Aunt Rin! Let's go play!" Henry yelled as he pulled on Spencer's pant leg. He had started calling me aunt Rin when Spencer and I had started dating. I found it quite charming.

"Hang on one second bud. I'm just going to talk to your mom about the plan for tonight! Okay?" Spencer said as he ruffled Henry's thin blonde hair that he and his mother shared. As in cue JJ walked down the stairs.

"Hey guys so there are chicken nuggets in the oven, bed time is at eight and we will be home probably around eleven. And Spence you know the rest." She finished gave all three of us kisses and was out the door with Wills hand in hers.

"Okay why don't you guys go play while I get dinner ready?" I said while i pushed them towards he living room where the toys were.

"Alright Aunty" Spencer said while giving me a kiss and picking up Henry and making plane noises. He was so good with kids. I haven't even been here for ten minutes and I think I had already made up my mind about kids.

After Henry ate it was time for bed so I sang him some songs and Spencer read him some books. Before bed time we had all played with his toys, watched some tv and had plenty of tickle fights. When Henry was sound asleep Spencer and I quietly headed downstairs. When we reached the bottom of the stairs Spencer wrapped his arms around my waist and kissed my neck.

"Would you like some wine?" He asked

"I'd love some." I responded before kissing him on the lips for a brief moment.

A few minutes later he walked back into the living room with two glasses of red wine. I had a movie cued up on the tv. I sipped my wine slowly and he finished his before I did. When he finished he stood up, walked to the back of the couch and began to rub my shoulders and massage my back.

"I love you Spencer." I said looking up at him then looking back towards the tv.

"I love you to."

"What do you think about this?" I asked still not looking at him.

"About what?" He said in a confused voice.

I turned around and faced him,"All this. Kids. A family." I finished as the door opened.

"Hey guys thank you so much." JJ said as she entered her house before Spencer could answer me. We all said our goodbyes for the next five minutes and Spencer and I were out the door.

"It sounds perfect," he said as we got into the car and drove off to our apartment. I loved this man so much.
