Chapter eleven

Nate's POV

I walked into the bar that I always go to. I had just gotten back from my court date. Luckily I proved myself innocent. I walked over to the bar counter and sat down.

There was a girl next to me. She looked awfully familiar with here wavy black hair and green eyes. Her eyes really hit it for me. I just couldn't put a name on her.

She looked at me with fear in her eyes. I don't quite know why. "I'm sorry but may I ask your name?" I asked her. She didn't respond but instead she quickly turned her head to watch the person playing onstage.

That was odd. I looked over and saw it was jack she was looking at. I haven't seen him in a while. It's good to see he is still into music. I notice he was looking at the girl next to me when he would smile.

The girl would smile back and blush. Then I started to think. These two obviously where dating. Wait a minute. Her rare dark green eyes. The sparkle in the light they had. The only thing that was different was her hair. It was black and not light brown.

I think she could feel me staring at her because he shifted over in her seat moving slightly away from me. "Lilly is that you?" I said.

She didn't respond but she looked more frightened. "Lil it's me. Nate?" I said in a questioning tone. Then she looked down. "I thought you where in jail." She said.

"My court date was today. I was proven innocent."

She looked up and back at jack who was now done with his song. Jack looked at her then spoke into the microphone. He noticed me this time.

"Ok guys in going to take a small break and be right back." He said and set down his guitar then walked off tags and towards us.

When he reached the point were we where he walked up to Lilly and gave her a kiss in the lips. He did the on purpose. Ass hole.

"Hey Nate. What are you doing here?" He asked me standing next to Lilly with his arm around her waist.

"He was proven innocent today." Lilly spoke before I got to.

"Bull shit. You are so guilty. You paid those morons to kill me!"

"No jack I paid them to beat you up. There is a difference."

"I almost was dead Nate!"

"Guys please stop talking about this." Lilly interrupted sounding upset.

Jack sighed. "Why are you here?" He asked changing the subject.

"This is my favorite bar in town?"

"Psh. Just my luck huh. Of course I pick the bar to preform at that you like."

"We'll that's pretty hatful Jack."

"Oh and nearly KILLING ME isn't?!" Jack said raising his voice a bit.

"Technically I didn't. The guys did."

"We'll technically you paid them so yeah you kinda did almost kill me Nate."

He was mad I could tell. Lilly sat quietly not looking at me. She probably didn't have much of a liking to me anymore after that incident.

"Listen jack. In sorry alright. I so regret doing it ok. I was mad and didn't know what I was doing. Can you forgive me?"

Jack stood silently for a moment. He slid his arm away from Lilly's waist and made a fist. And before I could do anything, he hit me in the face.

"How's that for a forgiveness bitch." Jack said through his teeth.

Lilly gasped and I stepped backwards a few steps taking the hit. I held my hand to my mouth then looked at jack. I charged towards him but he blocked me then grabbed my arm yanking me to the ground. Ow.

Being in the ground was not the best place to because I didn't want to be real hurt. Luckily the bar manger came over and told us both to leave.

Lilly had grabbed Jack's arm. "Jack lets just leave. Please." She said. Jack sighed then looked at me with a rude look the back at lily and nodded his head.

They both stepped over me and walked outside and I shortly followed.

Jack's POV

I walked outside with Lilly exiting the bar. Nate pissing me off. He can't just say sorry and everything be ok. Is he stupid?! Yes he is. Because he followed us out here.

I looked at him and Lilly stood behind me her head hung low. "What the fuck do you want now Nate?" I said in a rude tone.

"I was asked to leave the bar too ass hole." He responded to me.

"You better watch your language with me. I will kick your ass."

"Yeah ok mother." Nate said in a mocking voice.

My fists clenched up and I punched him in the nose. His nose started bleeding and Nate held his hands to it. "Ow! I think you broke my nose!" He said.

"Yeah well that's not the only thing I'm going to break you little-"

I was interrupted by Lilly. "Jack stop!" She said and I froze. I clenched my fists. I turned to lily and hugged her and she hugged back. "I'm sorry." I whispered to her she nodded her head. "Can we please just go home." She asked. Yeah that was a good idea. I let go of her and she got in the car. I looked at Nate and flipped him off then got in the car and drove home with Lilly.

NEXT DAY...

Lilly's POV

I woke up this morning feeling safe again because Nate wasn't around. And because Jack was holding me close to him while we where asleep. I turned to face him to find that he was already awake.

"How long have you been awake?" I yawned.

"I dunno. Ten minutes maybe." He said as he smiled at me then kissed my head.

"Ten?! You could have gone to watch tv or something. You didn't have to stay here till I woke up Jack." I said as I blushed.

"But I like laying here with you. And your so beautiful when you sleep."

"Aww Jack. Your so sweet." I laid my head on his chest. Why did he make me so happy I would never understand.

He continued holding me and I almost fell asleep again. "Wanna go have breakfast?" He said. I jumped a little I think cuz scared me.

"Yeah I'm hungry." I answered.

He got up and so did I and we both walked to the kitchen. I grabbed some frozen waffles he had in the freezer and put them in the toaster oven. Jack got out the fruit and washed them off.

I got the plates and set the in the table as well with the forks. The waffles popped up and I grabbed them and set those on the plates then put in two more. Once those where done I set them on your plays too and Jack put the fruit on the side.

I smiled at him and got our forks and sat down and ate with Jack. .
