Chapter 4~ I thought I had talked some sense into you

I thought I had talked some sense into you..

"Hello? Permission to enter planet Alex" I couldn't quite make sense of what Nancy was saying. I was deep in my thoughts. Why did he storm out? So what if I don't want to be friends with him. He can't force me to be. Besides he's not the type I would want as a friend. "Alex are you okay?" Jake asked me. It was type to snap out of my own little world. "Yeah I am cool." I said with a smile. He returned a weak one. "By the look of it you don't look cool  to me."he seemed concerned. I just smiled. I really didn't want to tell them about what had just happened with Leonard. " You know what, I think if she doesn't want to talk about it we shouldn't push her." Nancy came to the rescue. I loved this girl.

"Yo! Alex come on before we get late for class." That was my Math buddy Anne. She and I kind of clicked the first time we met. She thought the fact that my name and her name started with the letter A was pretty cool. I on the other hand thought it was stupid. But of course I didn't tell her that. Anne was I don't what to say, dark. Not like an emo or a goth. I mean she wore black clothes and dark make up but she wasn't a goth. You're probably saying Alex that is a goth. But let me tell you why I say she's not. You how goths are usually on some hey wanna go to the grave yard later on and recite dark poems and smoke and drink or something.  Well she's all OMG! I saw these gorgeous Louis Vuitton black pumps online! She was weird but I liked her.

I left the bench that had been occupied by Jake, Nancy and I and went to join Anne. We got to class and our teacher,Mrs Lawrence, wasn't in class yet. So people were just talking so loud as if their lives depended on it. Anne sat on the seat that was on my right. I was about to say something to her when Mrs Lawrence walked. Discouraged from say what I was planning on staying, I sat up straight and faced my front and I started to prepare for the lesson. I was taking out my Math textbook when our teacher told the class that she had an announcement but I didn't bother to listen. I knew Anne was going to blab about it after class anyway. I opened the page where our previous homework was and I heard the name Leonard. My whole body froze. I thought I was dead but that couldn't have been possible because my heart was beating like a hundred times per minute. Which also couldn't have been possible because a  teenager's heart usually beats about 72 times a minute. If I got that right.

Why I was nervous I really don't know but it was happening. I looked up to see him walking towards me. I tried thinking of what I was going to say but he just walked past me. He went on to sit about three seats behind me. "Psst! Check out the new hottie in our class."
My heart went back to beating at a normal rate. "What's he doing here?" I asked her. She smiling from ear to ear. "I don't know some kind of transfer I guess. But I don't mind it I mean what more could a girl ask for." Anne contained day dreaming about Leonard or whatever was going on in her crazy mind. I told you this girl was weird.
I didn't dare look back but I looked to my side and Leonard eyes felt like they were piercing me.

The bell rang and everybody stormed out. I was the only one left in class. I was packing my bag so I could go for my next class. Anne had left too, it was okay with me because we were both going for different classes after Math. "I thought I had talked some sense into you." I jumped to the voice. I thought I was alone, even Mrs Lawrence had disappeared the minute she dismissed us. Who could've decided to stay behind apart from me?

Yep! You guessed it! It's the one and only Leonard Mills or Miller. One of the two last names. "What are you doing here?" I asked him. He smirked. "You thought about our little talk that we had yesterday?" I was done packing my stuff,I took my iPhone from the table and started walking to the door. "Can we please not going through that again." But of course he thought it would be a great idea to block me at the door. "Uh I kinda need to use the door." I was getting annoyed.

"I know, that's why I'm standing here." He said.
"Look Alex I just want to be friends. What do you have to loose?"

You know I'd seen this before. On movies obviously. The girl accepts the guy's request for them to be friends. Soon they become more than that. Then the guy starts changing. He starts ignoring the girl. Breaks her heart. I don't want a broken heart and I don't want to be the broken hearted girl. Yes I got that from Beyonce's song.
But you know what? Maybe I was wrong. Maybe nothing bad would come out of the friendship. I mean he wasn't asking me to be his girlfriend. He was right, what did I have to lose?

So I gave in. "Fine we can be friends." He opened his mouth to say something but changed his mind and closed it. He opened it again "Okay we'll start slow, but I must warn you soon you'll be wanting to be more than just friends." He walked away,with a smirk of course.

I was now friends with Leonard. This was going to be some friendship.
