Chapter 4 : Why didn't you tell us?

"He has lung cancer, stage 4 to be precise and unfortunetly... it has already spread in his heart too, thus saving him became... impossible... I'm very sorry." The doctor looked down then started to walk away.

Silence was heard in the cold corridor of the hospital. They were all too shocked to even say a word.

Jin fell on the cold ground making him sit with a blank face and asked looking at the white hospital floor.

"Wha..What? W... what just happened? H...he didn't say what I just heard right?!" Jin asked his brothers but never got an answer.
He cleared his throut and asked again.

"H..he said taetae is going to be fine, right?" Again... silence.

*sob*sob*

"Plaese! Tell me I heard it wrong!" Now Jin had started to cry making his brothers tear up as well. Namjoon knelt down and rubbed Jins back trying to make him calm down.
Yoongi and Hoseok tried their very best to keep their tears in, making their sob soundless, but never the less were incapable of hiding the tears that was falling. Jungkook hugged Jimin as he was now crying, screaming and thrashing around in frustration.

"WHY!!? AAAAH!!" Jimin was now out of control and cried.

This feeling is way too familiar for them after their mother died of lung cancer ,in which they never knew about until the day she died. Their father knew about his wifes sickness but they never told their sons because they didn't want them to worry too much. Their parents found out about it when it was too late. She only had a few months to live.

Back to the hospital...

After the brothers have calmed themselves down they went inside the room where Taehyung was now sleeping soundly. He was connected to uknown tubes and wires, beside him was a monitor which beeped at the same moment his heart did.

"He looks like an angel" Jin commented tearing up again.

They stayed there admiring his beautiful feature and started recalling old times when Taehyung was climbing a tree to get Jungkooks stuck paper plane and how he fell from it breaking a few bones;
When taehyung tried to protect jimin from bullies but ended up in bruises;
When he tried to pour tea for Namjoon, Hoseok and Yoongi while they were studying but winded up puoring it on their books. They got really mad at him;
And when he tried helping Jin cook but ended up cutting himself and almost set the kitchen in fire.

"Ahahahahah!!" Laughter was heard inside taehyungs hospital room.

"He was always a failure at whatever he did huh!? Ahaha!!" Hoseok said laughing out loud.

"Hey guys, why don't we rest for now? Taetae must be tired at hearing old stories." Namjoon said while yawning.

"True. But... I'm sleeping here with taetae." Jimin said hugging taehyung lightly.

"No! I am!" Jungkook pulled Jimin from hugging taehyung and hugs Taehyung instead.

"Aish! This kid!"

"Go away Chimchim. I'm sleeping with Taetae." Jungkook said sticking his toung out making Jimin really mad.

Jimin now starts on pulling Jungkook away from the sleeping Taehyung without success.

Thus they start fighting.

*sigh*

"We are all sleeping here tonight" Jin said making the 2 stop fighting.

They have now all gone to dreamland except for one person. Taehyung. He opened his eyes slowly taking sometime to adjust to the darkness and looked around him to see where his brothers are. He smiled under his transparent mask when he saw everyones weird sleeping position, unfortunetly he doesnt have a camera with him and his body hurts too much. So instead he printed it inside his mind. From his right was Jungkook sleeping with his head on the bed near taehyungs hand;
Namjoon and Jin was on the couch sleeping with their head on each others head;
Hoseok and yoongi was on the floor with their legs... thrown in every direction;
And Jimin had his head on the bed like Jungkook and was holding his twins hand. He had a few dry tears on his eyes making taehyung wipe it with his free hand.

"I'm sorry" Taehyung whispered.

Flashback

"Taehyung... you're getting worse" the doctor, Baekhyun, said to him.

"I know" taehyung replied emotionless while looking out the window.

*sigh "Should I tell your siblings? About you... you know. Have only a month to live?"

Taehyungs eyes widen and looked at his doctor.

"NO! You should never tell them! Until I die, you say nothing." Taehyung said making his doctor sigh yet again.

"I understand, but haven't you hidden your sickness for too long now? Isn't it enough?" Baekhyun stared at taehyung trying to convince him to tell his siblings.

"No"

Hearing this made Baekhyun understand that whatever he's going to say will be futile and gave up.

"I'm soo sorry" tears blurred his vision making him unable to see his brothers.

"I'm very sorry" he repeated this word until he was satisfied and fell asleep.
