Ashton's P.O.V

I rushed into Megan's room to find her unconscious on the floor. I already knew she had lost a lot of blood and was losing more from the wound to her neck. My powers wouldn't be enough to save her at this point, but I knew what we had to do.

I picked her up in my arms and ran downstairs. Calum was alive, fighting Michael, but as he saw me, he rushed over.

"So you're just going to stop?" Michael asked.

"Could you just shut the fuck up for two seconds! Can you not see the damage that you have caused? Now give us some space before I punch you so hard your ancestors will feel it!" The anger boiled inside me and I couldn't control yourself. Michael backed off with a scowl on his face, letting Calum and I take a look at Megan.

"My powers won't help her, but we have got that other option of-" I started but Calum cut me off.

"We don't know what that will do! What if it turns her into one of us? She would hate us forever and forever for a vampire is a very long time. You know how she feels about us!" Calum stated.

"Yes, but what choice do we have? If we give her some of our blood it could heal her and I don't want her to die." I replied.

Michael walked in "Why do you care so much about this one human?"

"Just shut up." I said, starting to get angry again.

"Okay, let's just do it," Calum agreed. "Do you want me to do it?" He asked.

"No, I'll do it," I said.

Megan's P.O.V

What happened?

I feel light.

But, darkness surrounded me. It's engulfing me.

The darkness was comforting somehow.

Am I dead?

The was probably the only logical explanation, since the last thing I remember is Michael practically draining the life out of me and I had been rendered unconscious. In the place where I was, I was completely and utterly alone and the only comfort I had was the darkness.

Luke's P.O.V

I woke with a sore neck, panicking. I hope Megan was okay, but how I left her, I'm not sure if she will be. Damn Michael! I want to kill him. He's being such a dick.

I glance over at where Ashton is sat at the sofa and I walk over to him. The closer I get to him, I start to notice there is someone lying next to him. It's Megan. I ran to her side.

"Is she okay?" I asked, but from the sad look on Ashton's face that was probably a no.

Calum was sat on the other sofa, across from Megan, with the same sad look on his face. I could tell we were all feeling the same way, not including Michael.

"Where's Michael?" I looked at Ashton.

"Gone. He left last night when he killed you." Ashton replied glumly.

"What happened?" I interrogated, not expecting a very happy answer.

Ashton took an intake of breath, "She was drained of two thirds of her blood and vampire blood couldn't do anything, but we tried it. From what we can tell at the moment, it has had no effect or something would have happened by now."

At that moment, Megan shot up, taking in breath like there was no tomorrow. She looked around. I tried my best to calm her down, but questions were spilling from her mouth, under no control.

"What happened? Am I dead? Did Michael kill me? How am I alive?" She said at one hundred miles an hour.

"Calm down," Ashton calmly replied.

"Ashton, how is she alive?" I asked him.

"I don't know!" He answered. "Megan, what do you last remember?"

"Michael killing me, but then I was surrounded by darkness and it was comforting somehow," I shared a glance with Ashton and Calum, which she caught up on. "What?" She inquired, looking urgent for an answer.

"This might not be true, but that was what happened when we turned into vampire. We were enveloped by darkness and it was welcoming." Ashton explained.

"Wait... I'm a vampire?" Megan asked in disbelief. " I don't want to be a vampire," she added, tears brimming her eyes.

"We never wanted this to happen to you, but that does seem like what has happened. Michael should never have done that to you, as he knew what the consequences would have been and the risks we would have had to take, but he did it anyway." I said to her.

"The only way we can confirm you are a vampire is to, either, see if you burn in sunlight or if your fangs develop when you consume human blood. Which would you prefer?" Ashton asked her.

"Well if I'm by any chance not a vampire, I don't want to have drank human blood for no reason because that's just gross! So, I'll go with the sunlight." She replied.

"But, because we would burst into flame in direct sunlight, we can open a curtain slightly for this. We wouldn't want anything bad to happen to you," Calum chipped in sarcastically.

Megan made her way over to the window and opened the curtain.

Megan's P.O.V

As I opened the curtain, light flooded in. I didn't realise how much I had opened the curtain, but before I knew it, my skin was drenched in sunlight. Wherever the light touched, burned. My skin set on fire and I screamed in pain. I was wrenched away from the window and I was being wrapped in a blanket. I could feel my skin blistering from the heat; the pain was unbearable.

"Get a blood bag from the basement," someone yelled.

I was unwrapped from the blanket and I saw two faces; Calum and Luke.

"You're gonna be okay," Luke said to me, even though I felt like hell.

Ashton appeared a few seconds later with a pouch containing a red liquid. I knew exactly what it was.

"You need to drink this and this is going to hurt," Ashton said, which didn't help the situation what so ever! He placed the top if the bag to my mouth, but I hesitated. This is going to be it. If I do this know, there's no going back. I'll be a vampire... immortal. My thought went crazy, but I was brought back when I felt a liquid go down my throat. Blood... It made me gag. The taste was vile, but I needed more. The more I drank, the better it tasted and the faster the pain started to go away. I sat up, but the boys remained by my side.

As I drank, I felt a pain in my gums. I dropped the bag of blood and held my mouth. I groaned in agony as felt my canines grow. They elongated into a point. I ran my tongue over them and now I knew that I was a vampire!
