Luke and I were struggling to keep the wolf down, but somehow we managed. Our main goal was to stay out of the way of its jaw, knowing about its death-bringing bite.

"How do we know this is the one that bit Calum?" I asked Luke, pushing down on the wolfs ribs, attempting to keep it still.

"One, there is blood on its nose, which I can smell and it is definitely vampire blood and two, there is a piece of fabric on its paw, which is the same material as Calum's jacket," he said, whilst holding down the wriggling werewolf.

"You should really be a detective!" I said to him.

He chuckled slightly.

"We're going to need another pair of hands for this," Luke told me. "We won't be able to get it back to the house by ourselves."

"Do you think that Michael can compel werewolves?" I asked.

"I have no idea, we have never tried," he replied.

"How are we going to get to Michael and get him to come here?" I questioned.

"Are you sure you know the extent of your powers?" He inquired.

"What do you mean?" I replied to him, confused as to what he was asking of me.

"Are you sure you can only read minds?"

My face was covered with a look of confusion.

He sighed. " Can you talk to people in their minds?" Luke said, as if it was obvious.

"Well, I don't know!"

A low growl rumbled from the wolf underneath us.

"Just try! See if you can talk to me in my mind. Please..." He pleaded.

"Okay," I replied to him.

I focused on Luke and looked at him. I looked him straight in the eye and it felt like I was being transported into his mind. "Luke?" I thought.

I heard the reply, "Yeah?"

I smiled. "Oh my God! It works."

"Told you so!"

"Shut up! We have more important thing to worry about. How will I talk to Michael? The only way I was able to talk to you was because I was focused on you and looking at you. What if I can't do it?" I started to panic.

"Just focus all of your thoughts on Michael, okay?" He asked me.

"Okay," I said, getting out of his mind.

I concentrated everything I had on Michael. This was a lot harder than it was with Luke. I have to focus harder! My eyes scrunched closed, trying to get to Michael. Then, I felt the same thing I felt with Luke, but this one was stronger. I'm guessing that is because there was a larger distance between Michael and I. It felt like forever, but I eventually arrived at my destination.

Michael's mind felt different to Luke's, darker somehow, less friendly.

"Michael?" I asked the darkness.

Michael's P.O.V

"Michael?" I heard.

What the hell? Where did that come from?

I turned my head and my brow furrowed in confusion. Suddenly, I felt quite exposed.

"Michael?"

I heard it again. Where was it coming from?

"It's Megan. I know your probably freaking out right now, but you need to get over it. We need your help and, for Calum's sake, you'll do it. You need to meet us in the woods so that we can get this werewolf back to Calum. If you make a fuss, I'm going to kill you with my own two hands. So, get your arse down here now!"

"How are you doing this?" I thought, freaking out.

"I'll explain later. Get here now!" She screamed.

"I've gotta go," I said to Ashton.

"What... why?" He questioned, slightly angered.

"They need my help," I replied, running out the door.

I heard Ashton say "How do you know?" but I was too focused to care. I had to get to them.

Megan's P.O.V

"Did you get through to him?" Luke asked me.

"Yes, and if he doesn't get here soon, I'm going to kick his ass," I replied. "Why didn't he come with us in the first place?"

"I have no idea. You can ask him later. Right now we have a crisis to deal with."

Then, Michael appeared in front of us.

"Are you okay?" He asked.

"We're just holding down a wolf, or should I say werewolf, that is five times bigger than us, has the power to kill us. But, you know, just casual," I reply to Michael, getting slightly pissed.

"Okay... What do you want me to do?"

"Help us get this thing to the house," Luke said.

"How are we going to do that?" Michael questioned.

"The only way this is going to be possible is if we drag it to the house," Luke answered. Michael and I nodded, agreeing with what he had said.

Luke and I kept our hold of the wolf as Michael made his was around to get good grip.

"Okay. 1...2...3."

All of his pushed at the same time, causing the wolf to move forwards. We picked up speed, getting to the house in no time.

We got to the door, calling to Ashton, who arrived in front of us with a worried look on his face.

"Is Calum okay?" I asked, concerned.

"He's fading fast. He can hardly keep his eyes open. But, the hallucinations haven't started yet, which is good."

"Well, we got it. Where do you want it?" I questioned Ashton.

"Where Cal is," He answered.

As we hauled the wolf to the kitchen, a cry of pain came from Calum. I hated seeing him like this. His state causing a tear to slip down my cheek.

"Okay Calum, you know what you have to do, right?" Ashton asked Calum.

"Yeah," his answer coming out hardly in a whisper.

Another tear slid down the track that the other left behind. Luke put his hand on my back, comforting me.

Calum lowered in head to the wolf's neck, biting. The wolf jolted, but the more blood Calum took, the weaker its attempts to escape were.

"How much does he need to take?" I inquired.

"All of it," Ashton replied.

We watched Calum's wound heal, as he consumed the blood. When he lifted his head, he breathed a sigh of relief. A trickle of blood escaped out of his mouth and made its way down his chin.

"My God, that tasted so bad!" Calum said, disgust present in his voice.

All of our eyes travelled down to the werewolf on the floor, its pulse slowing. It took a shaking breath, before we all heard its heart stop.

As soon as the wolf took its last breath, a choir of howls erupted from outside. The other wolves clearly knew they had just lost a member of their pack.

We all glanced at each other. I'm sure we were all thinking the same thing.

Crap!
