Michael's P.O.V

I don't know what that hunter did to her, but it's not good. Megan lay limp in my arms as I ran to the house.

"Ashton," I yelled.

He walked down the stairs, but was in front of me in seconds when he saw Megan in my arms.

"What the hell happened?" he asked, voice full of concern and shock.

"Hunter. I don't know what he did to her, but it's bad. I think he got her shoulder."

"Put her in the kitchen."

I nodded and walked into the kitchen, placing Megan on the counter. Ashton was by her side already, ripping her shirt. Her left shoulder was exposed and the bullet wound was clear.

"The fact that it hasn't healed shows us that the hunter wasn't using an ordinary bullet. I need to be able to see the bullet to know what is needed to heal it. I don't see an exit wound, so the bullet is probably still in her shoulder. Was she in pain when you found her?" Ashton questioned.

"Definitely," I answered.

Luke walked into the kitchen with a worried look on his face. "Is she going to be okay?" he asked.

"I don't know yet."

Luke ran his hands over his face. "What do you need me to do?"

"Well, I need to get the bullet out and it's going to hurt like hell. Hopefully she remains unconscious for this," Ashton stated.

Ashton placed one hand over the wound and her face contorted with pain. He continued and got the bullet out with great difficulty. Megan's breathing had increased, but she never awoken. We all watched the wound heal, and we all breathed a sigh of relief.

Ashton picked her up and headed to the stairs.

"I think we all need to calm down after today's events, so give each other some space, including her."

He continued up the stairs.

Ashton's P.O.V

I walked up the stairs with Megan in my arms. Calum's door opened when I walked past.

"Hey, what's been going on?" Calum asked me. When I turned around, his eyes fell to Megan and he was standing next to me in a second. "Oh my God, what happened to her?"

"There was a hunter."

"Is she going to be okay?"

"Yeah she just needs to rest," I said to him.

"Can I-" he started but I cut him off.

"No. You've put her through too much recently. Why do you think she was even out there in the first place? She was trying to get away from us." With that, I kept walking and eventually got to her room. I lay her down on her bed and then I left.

Calum's P.O.V

I know Ashton told me to leave her alone, but I have to see her. I don't care about what has happened between us, I will always care about her. When I heard Ashton walk downstairs, I walked quietly to Megan's room. Surprisingly, she was awake. She was crying.

"Hey, it's okay," I said, walking over to her.

"No, it's not okay. They're all dead," she said. More tears fell from her eyes.

My eyebrows furrowed in confusion.

"They're all DEAD!" She screamed.

"What are you talking about?" I asked.

"My family, they're all gone, Kian. They're gone," she yelled.

"Ashton," I shouted.

He was there in the doorway.

"What's happening?"

"I don't know. She started talking about her family and then she called me Kian," I told him.

Ashton sat next to Megan on the bed.

"Are you feeling okay?" Ashton asked her.

"No, they're gone. They're all gone," she repeated.

"We can help you."

"No you can't," she cried. "You can't bring them back, no one can. They left me alone."

Ashton and I shared a worried look.

"Do you think it's the wound?" I asked him.

"It can't be, we watched it heal."

"That doesn't mean that it has healed."

Ashton moved her shirt to the side to reveal her wound. It was definitely still there and it was worse. There had to have been something on the bullet to cause it to spread this way.

"Luke," Ashton yelled.

He was in the room with us in no time.

"Yeah?" Luke questioned.

"Go find that hunter's gun. Bring it back here to me," Ashton instructed. "Make sure it's the same gun that he shot Megan with."

Luke was out the door as soon as Ash had finished speaking.

"Do you know what it could be?"

"I know of two possibilities. The first is that it could be she has had a reaction to what the bullet was laced in or it could be that the bullet could have been enhanced with werewolf venom. But, only one of them with explain why she started hallucinating. If it's werewolf venom, we'll have no idea which wolf the venom was from, which will make impossible to find the cure."

"Can't you do anything?" I pleaded.

"You know I can't do anything. I've tried. You were there when I tried," he reminded me.

"Yeah, but you've improved since then, you've gotten better," I countered.

"But, we don't know what it could do even if I did try. It could speed up the infection."

"Um, hello? Why are you both in my room?" Megan asked.

"Are you okay?" Ashton asked her.

"I think so, but what did that hunter do to me?" She asked.

"We don't know yet." Ashton told her.

Megan turned to me.

"I thought you hated me?"

"I could never hate you, Megan," I said.

"That's not what you said before..."

"Well, under certain circumstances, I think I was allowed to say things like that," I countered.

"It's not like it's my fault," she said quietly.

"Did you seriously just say that to me?" I asked her, shocked by her words. "I watched you kiss Luke, whilst we were still together."

"Well you didn't even talk to me about it. How do you know what actually happened?"

"What happened then?"

"I thought that-" Before she could finish, she hunches forward in pain, clutching her shoulder. Ashton brought her back up to a sitting position and told her to calm down. Her breathing had increased and sweat covered her forehead. I kept my eye on her shoulder and watched as the infection spread from her shoulder to her forearm.

"Ash," I warned.

Her breathing was deeper and it looked like she was struggling. If it had only spread this much and it was already having a large impact on her, then this could be bad.

She ran away because of me.

Is this my fault?
