Chapter 3.

Axel's P.O.V
Riley and I walked hand in hand with Nori and Samantha on our way to the park. We got there and they ran off playing. He and I sat on a bench nearby watching them have fun. It was a good thing Sammy got her hearing aids, so she's able to hear something.

It's been a few weeks since we got married and nothing bad has happened. Knowing us and our bad luck one of us would be in hospital by now, but we're both healthy...for now.

I put my arm over his shoulder and played with his hair as he cuddled into my chest. "So I've been thinking of meeting my mom." He said out of the blue. I looked at him with shock. "I thought you wanted nothing to do with her." I said.

"I know what I said but...I think she's sincere now and as much as I hate to admit it...I would've liked her be there at our wedding." He said lowly. "Aww Baby, that's so sweet of you." I cooed at him. "Whatever." He rolled his eyes playfully. "So how are you going to see her, mmm scratch that, how are you going to get in contact with her?" I asked.

"My friend Grant knows my real dad and him and my mother are back together." He answered. "So when do you plan on meeting her?" I asked. "I'm actually going to see her today." He answered. I looked at him and smiled so brightly.

I literally crushed him. "Aww Riley, you're such a saint." I cooed at him again. "I'm not a saint." He said lowly, sounding unhappy. "Riley, what's the matter?" I asked him. "I-I'm scared...I'm scared if she comes back into my life she'll just...screw it up again." He said, pain clear in his voice.

"Oh Baby, she won't screw up anything and even if she does you'll still have me." I said reassuringly. He snuffled and hid his face in the crook of my neck. "I don't wanna lose you Axel..." He whispered. "You won't, anything you do will never make me want to leave you. Even if we fight it'll just be too painful for me to leave you." I said.

He snuffled again and held me tighter. "Baby don't worry, I'm here for you every step of the way and it may be scary but I'm here to hold you and help you." I said. "You mean it?" He asked. "Yes Baby I do, I love you." I whispered. "I love you too." He whispered back.

"So where are you going to meet her?" I asked. "At the café downtown." He answered. I cringed. "Why downtown, that place is so...shady." I said. "I never picked the place she did." He said. I nodded and left it there. "So what time do you have to be there?" I asked next. "At five." He answered.

I cringed again. "That's a rather shady time for a shady place." I pointed out. "Maybe but I'm finally going to meet her and you're the one who wouldn't leave it alone." He pointed at me accusingly. I smiled and squeezed him. "You want me to come with?" I asked. "She doesn't want me to come with anyone." He said.

"Mmm, well then keep your phone on, not silenced, close to you and with a full battery life. I don't want anything bad happening to you." I said. He smiled and cuddled into my chest. "Thank you for being the best husband ever." He whispered. I got all giddy giddy at the term...husband...sounds nice.

"You make me blush." I whispered making him giggle. Samantha and Nori came running back. "Dada!" "Brother!" They screamed at the same time. We looked at them and said yes at the same time. "We want ice cream!" Sammy screamed with excitement. Nori pulled the puppy dog eyes on us and got Sammy to do the same thing.

We sighed and picked them up. "Guess we're going for ice cream." Riley said as he started to walk back to the car with Nori.

Riley came out of the girls room looking exhausted. "Well the girls are now asleep but if they wake up you'll have to get them asleep again, I need to get going." He said as he ran his fingers through his hair. "Baby I don't wanna let you go alone." I said hugging him tightly. He hugged back and kissed my neck softly.

"Baby please be safe." I whispered. "Will do." He said before we pulled away from each other. He kissed my cheek before grabbing his keys and jacket. He waved goodbye and I did the same.

God, please watch over his cute little soul.

I'm gonna have to end this chap here even though I write 1000 words to like 1500 but today I only did about 700+, excluding the a/n. But whatevers I hope you guys enjoyed this chapter and as always...
