Chapter 7.

Axel's P.O.V
I woke up to my phone ringing. I answered and heard Bell's voice. "What the hell are you doing calling me at eight in the morning on a fucking Saturday?" I asked. "Watch the news." She said before cutting the call. I grumbled and got out of bed.

I walked into the living room and switched on the tv. I was home alone so I just walked in my boxers, Nori was with my parents for the weekend. I switched to the news channel and turned up the volume.

"We're here in central downtown where a man is about to jump off the Crimson apartment building. Police are working on getting a negotiator to talk the young man out of jumping. The young man has been identified as Riley Marten." The news reporter said.

R-Riley Mar-...m-my Riley Marten?

I shot up from the couch and ran to the room. I threw on a sweater, jeans and vans before running to get my phone and keys. I ran to the basement parking and got in my car. I started driving down the road as fast as I could.

My Baby is going to jump, he's going to fucking jump!

I got there and saw crowds and crowds of people. I got out my car and pushed through the millions of people gathered to see my Baby jump. I ran up to the doors when a police man stopped me. "Sorry sir no one gets in or out of the building." The man said. "I need to get up there, that's my fucking husband." I said as I looked at him.

The cop just pushed me back. I grumbled and ran to the back of the building. The Crimson apartment building was where I used to stay and I still kinda stay there. It's now owned by Riley and I so that's how he has access to it.

I got to a back door and forced it open before rushing up the stairs. I got to the seventh floor and walked to the apartment door. I opened it and walked in on police men and investigators standing by the window. "Sir you're not allowed to be he-" I cut the man off by pushing him aside. I stuck my head out the window to see Riley there.

Plastered on the wall looking terrified. He was regretting his decision to jump. He didn't know how to get back safely, he didn't trust himself to move.

"Riley!" I shouted for him. He looked at me and I realized he'd been crying. "Axel please help me!" He screamed desperately. "Baby you see that thing at the bottom there." I said pointing at the inflatable mattress thing at the bottom. He nodded as he looked at it. "Jump Baby I promise you'll be okay." I said.

"I-I don't wanna jump Axel, w-what if I m-miss it?" He asked. "You won't, just jump and make yourself as small as possible." I said. He shook his head and I knew he wasn't going to do it. I panicked inwardly.

How do I help him, think Axel...think!

I finally got an idea and with it I put it to work. I was right now ready to die for Riley, I wanted to risk my life to save his. "Riley I'll be right back Baby okay." I said. "A-Axel please don't leave me here!" He screamed. "Baby I need you to trust me, don't move I promise I'm coming back, trust me." I said.

He looked at the ground then back up at me before nodding. "I trust you Axel!" He shouted. I smiled before going back inside. "Make sure no one goes out there, he'll do something crazy if it's not me, you got that." I said. The man nodded and I went to the apartment next to mine. I noticed he was standing by the window of the empty apartment.

I kicked the door down and walked to the window. I opened it and stuck my head out. "R-Riley I'm here, grab my hand." I said reaching out to him. He reached for me and was so close to grabbing my hand when a news helicopter just popped up. He slipped and almost fell making both of us scream, but he luckily got plastered back on the wall.

I gestured for the helicopter to move and it did after some time. "Axel I'm going to die here!" He screamed. "N-no you're not dying here Baby, I promise!" I shouted. "Axel I love you and I-I'm sorry for leaving...I'm sorry for doing this!" He shouted as he cried.

"Baby it's okay, I love you too and I'm not letting you die!" I shouted. I decided to go out myself to get him. I stepped out and didn't pay any type of attention to what was below me. I reached for his hand and grabbed it.

"Okay, slowly shift over to where I am." I said. "W-What if I slip?" He asked. "I got you Baby." I said as I held the windowsill tightly. "What if you can't hold me?" He asked. "Then we die together." I said. He smiled before attempting to shift to where I was.

He did it successfully and I let him get inside first. Once he was in I followed him and shut the window. I hugged him tightly as we both started to cry. "I'm s-s-sorry!" He sobbed. I hugged him tighter, not wanting to let him go at all. "It's okay Riley, I've got you." I whispered as I kissed his hair.

"I'm here Baby, it's okay now, you're okay." I whispered soothingly. He continued to cry softly and I felt so bad. I hugged him tighter and held him closer. "P-please never l-let me l-leave y-you a-aga-in!" He cried into my chest. "I won't Baby Boy, I promise." I whispered into his ear as I embraced him.

I almost lost you, but I got you...I'll always have you.

You can thank the movie Man On A Ledge for this chapter. But you should watch it, it's action filled and suspenseful like damn. I found it funny, you may not, but I'm weird so yea. I do hope you enjoyed this chapter and as always...
