Chapter 11.

Axel's P.O.V
"I've come to the decision that Axel and Riley Marten will have full custody of Nori Mayer, we'll register her as Marten later but for now, enjoy your victory." The judge said as he shook Riley and I's hands. I thanked him before saying goodbye to Lisa and letting Nori have her goodbye with her as well.

We left after that and Nori was passed out. I do feel bad for making her do this, she's so tired now, I for one wouldn't like this to happen when I'm freaking eight years old. Riley seemed a lot happier than he was this morning and he seemed less stressed.

I held his hand and he smiled as he looked at me. "I'm so happy." I said lowly. "I'm happy too." He whispered back. I kissed the back of his hand as we drove to my parents house. Nori was staying there whilst Riley and I worked on getting a proper house in a proper neighborhood so she had a place to call home.

She didn't mind staying with my parents though, if anything she loved it. I still remember the first day I brought her there.

"Hi granny and grandad!" She squealed as she ran towards my parents. They smiled and hugged her and greeted back. "We've already got the perfect room for you to sleep in." My mom said as she walked upstairs with Nori.

My dad and I followed close behind just talking about looking for a house in a neighborhood and blah blah blah. My mom had showed Nori Bell's 50 shades of pink room and Nori frowned. "Granny, I wanna sleep in Dada's room." She said lowly.

I chuckled and picked her up before walking to my room. I opened the door and everything was exactly the same. Nothing moved around but the place looking clean and well looked after. I smiled as Nori ran to her second bedroom bed. She climbed onto the bed and sat down crossing her legs. She bounced happily before telling to come sit with her.

I smiled at the memory. I love Nori so much. We got to my parents house, had greeted them quickly before saying bye to Nori.

Everything was silent as I drove home, not comfortable quiet...eerie quiet. It's like Riley and I didn't know each other and I was just some stranger who picked him up in the rain...bruh.

Riley is never this quiet unless something is wrong. Like I'm not even going to lie, Lisa messed everything up for him...and I helped. I didn't stop him from leaving, if I stopped him I would've made him feel better.

I would've cuddled with him until he fainted in my arms. I would've kissed him and stolen every breath of his. I would've kissed his neck until he moaned so loud we got charged for noise pollution. But I let him go, he started cutting again and I don't know if he'll ever stop.

"Riley is something wrong?" I asked, having enough of the silence. He looked at me before shaking his head. "Nothing, why?" He asked. "You're never quiet like this unless something is wrong." I pointed out. "Nothing is wrong, I'm just thinking." He said.

"Well, what are you thinking about?" I asked. "It's not important." He said as he looked away from me. "Riley." I said sympathetically. He looked at me as I stopped the car in the basement parking. His blue eyes icy and emotionless. His eyes are never icy or emotionless when he looks at me.

I was kinda offended by that glare.

"W-wait...Riley what's going on?" I asked. "It's nothing." He answered before I attempting to get out the car. I locked the doors and he looked at me like I was crazy. "Riley, what's going on?" I asked again, my voice coming out vicious.

"I told you it's nothing." He spoke back bitterly. "Riley where the hell is this coming from?" I asked sounding like a parent. "Axel it's none of your business, just stay out of it." He said shouting at first but lowering his voice towards the end.

"Riley you are my business, everything to do with us is my business." I said. "Well this has nothing to do with us." He said. "Then who Riley?" I asked. "It's my problem don't worry about it." He said before attempting to unlock the car.

I grabbed his wrist stopping him from reaching the buttons on my door. He looked at me with those same icy and emotionlessly eyes. I cupped his cheek before kissing him gently. He kissed back softly and my heart melted.

I pulled away from him and he tried to kiss me again but I moved back. His eyes opened and the blue eyes I knew were back. "I'm sorry Axel." He said as he sat back. I smiled sweetly before kissing his cheek. I got out the car and opened the door for him.

"It's okay, let's go inside and talk about it." I suggested. He smiled put his arms up, signaling he wants to be carried. I smiled brighter before picking him up. He wrapped his arms and legs around me before kissing my cheek.

I walked up the stairs with him and we got to the apartment. There was a note on the door and I rolled my eyes as I sighed. I took it off the door before unlocking the door and walking in. I put him down and he watched as I read the note.

You'll regret what you did.

It read. I handed it to Riley and once he was done he ripped it up before throwing it away. He walked away from me and sighed. "Riley." I called as I walked after him. He walked into the bathroom and locked it before I could get in.

I knocked on the door but didn't get an answer. He started crying and I sighed before taking out the spare key. I shoved it in the key hole to knock the other key out. I unlocked the door to find him searching around for something sharp to cut himself with.

I didn't say anything at all, I just walked toward him and hugged him. He melted into my hug as he cried harder. I stroked his hair as he cried. "It's not your fault this happened." I said lowly. He snuffled and hugged me tighter.

I picked him up before walking into the bedroom. I laid him on the bed and laid down next to him. I pulled him to my chest and allowed him to cuddle into my chest as much as he wanted.

I hate it when this happens.
