Adam's POV

"I don't want to live anymore!" I heard Sutton scream. I sprinted into my room and saw Sutton on the bathroom floor. I pulled my phone out of my pocket and called 911.

10 minutes later, an ambulance took Sutton to the hospital. I sat in the back with her and held her hand. I called Miranda and Blake. They were going to be on the next flight out of Oklahoma.

Once we reached the hospital, they took Sutton away and I sat down in the waiting room. 30 minutes later, a doctor walked up to me and sat next to me. "Mr. Levine?" He said. "Yes?" I said. "I'm Dr. Johnson. We pumped Sutton's stomach and got the pills out just in time. Was she showing any signs?" He asked.

"No, she's one of the happiest girls I know. Except for when she came home from this summer bash," I said. "What happened?" He asked. "She stormed inside the house. Tears were falling down her face. Her makeup was smeared and she looked like a mess. She told me her boyfriend cheated on her and she ran upstairs. When I followed her, she screamed that she didn't want to live anymore and then I found her on the floor," I said.

"Alright, well since her parents aren't here right now, I'm going to tell you since you were her guardian while they're gone. I'm going to make an appointment for Sutton to see a therapist." He said as he handed me a slip of paper with a doctor's name and an appointment time.

"Can I go see her?" I asked. "Sure, go ahead," He said. I walked to the room number he gave me and opened the door. Sutton was sleeping. He wrists were tied to the bed rails so that she couldn't harm herself.

I walked over to her and watched her slowly open her eyes. "Hey Sutton," I said. "Hi," She said. We were silent for a while until Sutton started crying. "Sutton what's..." She interrupted me. "Why did you save me?" She asked. "What?" I asked. "Why didn't you let me die?" SHe asked as more tears streamed down her face.

I grabbed her hand and held it in mine. "Because I care about you Sutton. Please tell me why you tried to commit suicide. Trent cheating on you is not the reason you tried to kill yourself and I know it," I said. More tears streamed down her face. "Sit down Adam," She said.

Sutton's POV

"I'm not the perfect daughter that everyone thinks I am," I said. "What do you mean?" Adam asked as he sat down. "I have my own problems. I keep secrets. Things I couldn't bear to tell my parents." I said. "I'm here for you," He said.

"Alright, Trent and I have been dating since I came to LA. 4 years. I was popular in school, but there were girls that hated me. Specifically the girl that Trent cheated on to be with me. He dumped her after our first date. She would send me threatening texts, so I blocked her. Then she would send me emails, call me, and even slip notes into my locker. She would say really harsh things about me. She would spread rumors around the school that were very hard to prove wrong. I started to cut my wrists. Small cuts, so that no one could tell. At school and cheer, I looked like that happiest girl in the world. Truth is, I was spiralling into a deep depression. Trent knew that Tiffany, his ex, had been harassing me. She was the one he cheated on me with. I lost it." I said. At this point I was sobbing.

Adam walked over to me and hugged me. "I'm so sorry Sutton," He said. "You're the only person I've ever told," I said. He took his thumb and wiped my tears away. "Don't ever scare me like that again," He said before he kissed my head. "Thank you," I said. "For what?" He asked. "For saving my life," I said.

Suddenly, my mom and dad burst into the room. "Sutton!" My mom screamed as she ran over to me and hugged me. "What the hell happened?" My dad asked. "Trent cheated on me and I overreacted," I said. "Meaning what baby?" My mom asked. "I tried to kill myself," I said. "What!" My parents scremed. "How could you let this happen?" My dad asked Adam.

"She went to a party at her boyfriend's house. 3 hours later she came back, screamed Trent cheated on her and ran upstairs. I found her in the bathroom tile 2 minutes later," Adam said. "Oh baby, thank god you're ok," My mom said as she hugged me again.

Adam handed my mom a slip of paper. "Her doctor wants her to see a therapist," Adam said. "Thanks Adam," Blake said. Him and my dad went on the hallway to talk and I was left alone with my mom. "Can I untie my wrists?" I asked her. "Sure baby," She said as she untied the restraints.

The next day, I was allowed to go home. My dad got my bags from Adam's house and brought it back to ours. "We have to leave for your appointment in 20 minutes," My mom said. "Could Adam take me?" I asked her. "Why?" She asked. "I want to talk to him. Thank him for saving me," I said. "Alright baby, I'll go call him while you get dressed." She said before she walked out of my room.

I got up and went to my closet. I put on a white crop top and jean short shorts. I put on a pair of white peep toe pumps. I changed my belly button ring to a plain diamond one. I put my hair up into a messy bun and tucked my phone into my back pocket. I walked downstairs.

"Adam's outside, sweetie," My mom said as she walked over to me and kissed my cheek. "Alright, bye mom," I said. "Bye baby," She said before I walked out the door. I climbed into Adam's car.

"Hi," I said. "Hey," He said. "Thank you for taking me," I said. "No problem," He said as we sped away. Adam parked in the office parking lot and we sat there for a few moments. I looked over at him and he was staring at me.

Next thing I know, I'm making out with Adam.
