Sutton's POV

I wiped my tears away and grabbed my purse along with my car keys. I climbed in my car and headed off to Adam's to pick Devyn up. I was already an hour late, but Adam most likely didn't care because that was just an extra hour he got to spend with his daughter.

I parked in Adam's driveway and got out of the car. I walked up to the porch and opened the door. "Adam?" I said as I walked in. Adam appeared from upstairs with a smile on his face. "Hey Sutton," He said. "Hi, where's Devyn?" I asked.

"She's sleeping. It's already 10 PM. She was tired so I just told her to go to bed." He said. "Oh ok," I said. "Are you ok?" He asked. And with that question, I broke down and started to cry.

"Sutton, what's wrong?" He asked. "Brody and I got into a huge fight," I said. "About what?" He asked. I just looked at him with my puffy, red eyes.

"You," I said.

"Me? Why?" He asked. "Brody thinks that I have feelings for you and that I've been cheating on him with you. We were screaming at each other and we fought about me lying about Devyn's real father, and everything else. Then he told me that he was divorcing me," I said before I started sobbing uncontrollably.

Adam led me over to the couch and sat next to me. He started to rub my back. "Sutton, I'm so sorry," He said. "Don't be. Because he's right," I said. "What?" Adam asked. "I do have feelings for you Adam. Since the second I saw you on the playground with Devyn. I still love you Adam," I said as I looked at him with my teary eyes.

"Sutton, I still love you too. I never stopped loving you," Adam said before he leaned in and kissed me. It felt so right to be with Adam again. It felt like we had never been apart.

"Adam?" I said. "Yeah Sutton?" He asked. "Can Devyn and I stay here? Since Brody is divorcing me, we have no place to go," I said. "You two are always welcome here," He said. "Thank you Adam," I said. "Anytime," He said.

2 Weeks Later

Devyn and I moved in with Adam the day after Brody and I got into the fight. I signed the divorce papers yesterday, and now we were officially divorced.

I woke up wrapped in Adam's arms. "Good morning beautiful," Adam said. "Morning handsome," I said before I kissed him. "Sutton?" He said. "Yeah?" I asked. "Can we start over. Will you be my girlfriend?" He said. I giggled at his question.

"What's so funny?" He asked. "You don't even have to ask Adam. Of course I'll be your girlfriend. Again,"  I said. Just as I was about to kiss him, Devyn came running into our room.

"Mommy! Daddy!" Devyn exclaimed as she ran over to the bed. "Hey princess," Adam said as he let go of me and picked Devyn up. "Hi daddy," Devyn said as she crawled across the bed, onto his lap.

"What's up baby?" I asked her. "Can we go to the zoo today?" She asked. I looked up at Adam and he nodded. "Of course sweetie. Go pick out an outfit and I'll be in there in a few minutes to help you get ready, ok?" I said. "Ok mommy," She said before she hopped of the bed and ran to her room.

I rolled out of bed and walked into the closet. I put on a flowy purple crop tank top and a pair of jean shorts with purple flip flops. I walked into the bathroom and put on some light makeup and put my hair into a side braid. Adam walked up behind me in his classic white t-shirt and jeans with his black biker boots.

"I'm so happy that we can be a family now," He said before he kissed my cheek. "I'm happy too Adam," I said before I turned around and kissed him.

I walked out of the bathroom and walked to Devyn's room. She had on a pink tank top and little purple shorts with white flip flops. I grabbed two hair ties off of her dresser and put her hair into high pigtails.

"Thank you mommy," She said. "You're welcome baby," I said.

Once we got to the zoo, I put Devyn in her stroller and we started to walk around the zoo. We reached the tigers and Devyn started to cheer in excitement.

"Daddy look it's like the tiger on your arm!" She exclaimed. Adam chuckled and picked her up out of her stroller. "You like tigers?" Adam asked her. Devyn nodded her head and looked at the three tigers in front of her.

We walked over to the sign and I read it to Devyn. "One of them is the mom, then there's the dad, and then there's the baby girl tiger," I said to Devyn. "It's like us mommy!" Devyn exclaimed. "Yes it is," I said as I smiled at her and Adam.

An hour later, Devyn was asleep in her stroller. "Ready to go home?" I asked Adam. "Yeah, let's go," He said. We got Devyn into her car seat and put the stroller in the trunk.

Once we got home, Adam carried Devyn upstairs and I saw her eyes open. I walked upstairs behind him and watched him sit on her bed with her still in his arms.

He started to rock her back and forth and he started to sing She Will Be Loved.

Maybe letting Adam back into my life wasn't a bad thing afterall.
