Louis was silent today.

When he woke up in the morning, Harry wasn't there. The right side of the bed was cold, including him. His eyes were glued to the bathroom door that was open, studying the brown wood as he tried not to be negative. It was too quiet in the house, and Louis almost started to panic, when he noticed the small pink note on Harry's pillow.

Good morning baby x
I love you so much and I want you to know that you're safe and that I will always be there by your side. Don't worry, I'm buying groceries :)
Hugs and kisses from your fiance, Harry. xxxx

After he read it though, the frown on his lips was replaced with a big smile. They really needed groceries, because lately there had been too many times of Louis leaving the kitchen in annoyance after slamming the fridge door shut. Louis needed his comfort food, and Harry had apparently been very busy to do his duties at home. He didn't mind, though. If his fiance's busy times had anything to do with the proposal... lovely, perfect, and simply fantastic.

Louis sighed as he observed his hands, loving the sight of his shining engagement ring on his right hand's ring-finger. It was so gorgeous. He hoped it wasn't expensive, because he honestly couldn't stand the thought of Harry buying this mesmerizing expensive ring for him. It wasn't meant for a boy like him. He didn't deserve it.

At that note, his mood turned sour.

He leaned down to the floor and picked up his big stuffed toy from the secret box under the bed, giggling at the fluffy teddy bear in his hands. It had been his toy since he was a little two-year-old boy, and he planned on giving it to his eldest child. The bear would be like a legacy, from generation to generation. Maybe he was chilidsh, maybe also too sappy, but he didn't care.

When it was eleven o' clock, Harry came home and didn't even think twice about entering the bedroom, wanting to see how his little fiance was doing. He hadn't expected to see Louis still asleep, cuddling a teddy bear with the duvet only covering half of his body. Harry was pretty sure he was close to collapse on the floor. Louis was an angel... delicate and elegant, someone who Harry never got tired of admiring.

"Lou?" he called, walking towards the bed with a soft smile, "baby?"

Louis only groaned in response, and snuggled with his teddy bear like it was the love of his life as he rolled around to the right side of the bed. Harry chuckled whilst sitting down on the mattress, and caressed his boy's soft cheek. He was crazy in love, and it certaintly didn't help at all when Louis purred at the touch and nuzzled against his hand (yes, like a cat).

"H-Harry?"

Louis yawned, stretched his body and rubbed his face all at the same time. Harry stifled his laughter. It was such an adorable sight, and he cooed when Louis started to whine about the low temperature in the room. Yes, definitely his baby boy.

"Mmm baby, good morning," Harry greeted, and leaned down to press his lips on Louis' forehead. "You're so beautiful," he whispered, kissing him again. "Baby...."

Immediately, Louis scrunched up his nose at the comment and shook his head like a scared little kitty, but that meant nothing to Harry. He continued to press his lips over and over again on his forehead and cheeks, sometimes lips, whispering 'my beautiful fiance' as much as he could.

"Harry," Louis whined again, but he wrapped his arms around Harry's neck and pulled him closer, enjoying the warmth spreading through his body. It was so cold when Harry wasn't here, but now, it was all gone. "Can you carry me downstairs and cuddle me?"
