Louis plugged in his earbuds into his phone and pushed shuffle on a random playlist, deciding it was time for some good music to step up and finally kill his boredom.
The boys came over for a movie night at Louis and his soon-to-be-husband's house, bringing three scary movies with them to choose from. You see, that probably wasn't boring at all for most people, but for Louis it was. He hated scary movies. They all had the same annoying plot, and being scared wasn't exactly something he liked.
"Stop placing your feet on my lap, Liam!"
"No, I won't stop. They're hurting, so why won't you massage them?"
"Fuck off."
He sat far away from the other boys in the big blue beanbag, comforted by studying the trees outside of his house, especially when they blew in the wind along the rain pouring down from the sky. Harry, who seemed really eager while having his loud conversation with Niall, glanced at Louis a few times, probably to make sure he was okay, which was sweet.
He loved that Harry always looked after him. Though, there were other times he felt really bad, because it seemed like Harry couldn't have any fun without worrying about him. Like right now, he was so happy. Harry was laughing, smiling and spending time with the other boys, but he could still sense Harry's glances and stares on him.
With a deep sigh, he stood up from his chair in the living room to get some biscuits from the kitchen. Biscuits were his favorite when he was depressed, especially oreos. Harry watched him, then decided it was probably a good idea to follow him, when unfortunately Niall groaned and pulled him back down in annoyance.
"What's wrong with Louis?" Zayn asked, turning towards Harry curiously with his eyebrows raised. Niall did the same, while Liam was preoccupied with the movie that was playing on the TV. "I thought you guys never fought."
Harry frowned. "We're not fighting," he simply stated, glancing multiple times in the direction of the kitchen while saying so, "and it's not really your business, to be quite honest, Zayn."
"None of my business?" Zayn scoffed, and glared at him as he grabbed a beer from the table in front of them. "Excuse me for caring."
"Just stop, please."
Niall furrowed his eyebrows, and was quick to pull the man down again after the second attempt of getting off the couch came. He groaned in annoyance. "Harry, what the hell is going on? I'm honestly getting sick of you always following after him like a little puppy. I know you two are in love, but it's like you can't get your hands off each other, and it's weird, because it takes me back to 2010 when you were in the honeymoon-"
"Hi baby," Harry interrupted Niall's uneccessary rant by greeting Louis again, who looked quite shy at the moment, "are you alright?"
The boy was back in the living room with a few oreos in his hands, eyeing Harry with a soft expression as he nodded and put a biscuit in his mouth. He definitely heard what they were talking about, and it was quite obvious by how hard he tried to ignore Zayn and Niall's strange expressions. Harry sighed, moving further away from the blonde boy to give Louis some space to sit on the couch, but the smaller boy plopped down on his lap instead. He was definitely not complaining.
"I'm fine, babe," Louis replied loudly, blushing when Harry pressed his warm lips on his neck, "especially when you wrap your arms around me like that."
"Of course, baby boy," Harry mumbled low enough for only Louis to hear, grinning, "and are you sure you're okay?"
It was silent for awhile. Liam kept screaming to the girl in the movie not to open the door, while Niall and Zayn talked quitely to themselves, sneaking a few glances at the two lovebirds next to them. Harry frowned, not because of them, but because of Louis' trembling hands. His hands only trembled like that when he was panicking, so Harry knew a huge wave of troubling emotions had hit his sweet boy.
"Honestly shitty," Louis admitted, and rubbed his face on Harry's chest, "but I'm... I'm fine now, love, so please don't worry."
Harry sighed as he shook his head in concern. He started to massage Louis' scalp, now and then pressing his lips on the man's forehead. He couldn't help it, but he always felt big affection towards his shy other half. "Sweetheart, do you know you're my everything? You're basically my whole world," he whispered, running his fingers through Louis' hair with a soft smile, "and knowing that you're struggling and hurting inside is the worst thing, because I can't do anything to fix it."
Louis squeezed his eyes shut, softly smiling at the feeling of Harry's comforting embrace as he buried himself closer to his boyfriend's chest. His tiny hands didn't tremble like they did a few seconds ago, and his heartbeat slowed down again to its normal rate. He sighed in content, mumbling, "it's okay, Haz."
Immediately, Harry began to oppose.
"Darling-"
"You can't fix everything in the world, Harry. As long as you're here, that's enough. That's all I need. Just stay with me."
Nothing more was said. As Louis covered them both with a long red blanket, Harry stared at him for a while in wonder, thinking to himself how lucky he was to have a person like his fiance by his side. It definitely felt like a dream sometimes, especially every single time he watched that boy of his. Louis was gorgeous, really, and Harry still had problems when it came to his beauty. He was like the sun, blinding him at every moment, and Harry didn't mind. He didn't mind at all.
"Actually..."
Harry locked his eyes with Louis', smiling sweetly, "yes, your highness?"
He could hear Zayn groan and complain about Liam stealing the snacks off the table, which unfortunately caused Liam to shout back, and he could definitely hear Niall trying to quit them down with no success, but Harry's attention was only on his man, who had this adorable grin on his face. His eyes were even bluer now,
"I change my mind."
"About what, baby?"
"I want to name our daughter Aurora," Louis finally said, biting his bottom lip shyly, "I mean, if you like the name, of course."
Harry was beaming already at the mention of the word 'daughter'. His heart was racing, and it certainly didn't help that Louis suggested such a beautiful name. It fit perfectly, though he really wanted a middle name too. Louis was staring at him with wide eyes, and started to pout as well when his boyfriend didn't comment right away. If he only knew Harry was thinking of a perfect middle name.
"Don't you like the suggestion?" Louis asked, poking him on the cheek annoyingly before Harry finally replied.
"Aurora Grace."
"What?"
"Aurora Grace Styles," Harry whispered softly, "that's a beautiful name for a beautiful future child."
Unfortunately, the lovebirds didn't realize it was unbelievably quiet in the room. The movie had ended, and all of the boys were staring at them in surprise, listening intensely to their conversation with no shame. Harry kept his gaze on Louis, since he found it hard to concentrate on anything else, really.
Louis' eyes were tearing up, but this time it wasn't of sadness. "I couldn't agree more, Haz," he responded with a murmur, his breath hitching when Harry started to caress his arms, "I love it."
"You do?"
"More than anything."
"I'm glad."
