Fresh out the shower, I quickly change and head for Nathan's room. Is he here alone? Or did he bring Ariana with him? There's only one way to find out. I knock on his door, and he immediately opens. His smile is contagious and I smile like an idiot.
"Do I look better now?" I motion to my all black outfit.

"Much better. I ordered breakfast, it should be up here in a couple of minutes. Come in" He motions me inside. This is one thing I never thought would happen. Nathan and I in the same room again.

"I want to apologize for punching, and kneeing you in the crotch back in Mexico." I say while looking away from his gaze.

"It's ok, I was asking for it. I want to apologize too. I shouldn't have dropped you." He takes my right wrist in hands. "Does it still hurt?" he bring it up to his lips, and places kisses around my wrist.

"It feels better thank you." I jerk my hand away from his grip. "Hey wouldn't cops be around asking questions about the accident?" I ask Nathan. I know I shouldn't be paying too much attention to this, but it just won't stop bugging me.

"They should be. Unless there isn't anything to investigate." he simply says.

"No there has to be one Nathan. Even if it was the smallest of accident there has to be one going on." Nothing's making sense.

"Maybe there is one going, and you just don't know about it?"

As I'm about say something else, a knock on the door stops me.

Room service leaves, and Nathan turns to look at me and licks his lips.

"Are you hungry? Thirsty?" I raise a brow at him.

"Both actually." he grins.

After breakfast I ask him if we can make a stop at the police station. I'm not going to the hospital until I find out what exactly happened. When we arrive I begin to think twice over why I'm getting into this. Chris and I aren't a thing, and they are going to wonder why I'm so interested in this case. If it's even a case.

Nathan walks in before me, but no one pays attention to us. We're both standing looking around, seeing how cops walk in and out of the station. Not one of them asking if need help with something. Minutes go by and I decide to go up the officer behind the desk. He looks at me, then behind me with a bland look.

"Hi Sir. I was wondering if there's an investigation going on in an accident that happened a couple days ago." my voice is quiet.

"Are you part of the private investigation?" Private?

"What do you mean by private? I thought it was just a normal regular accident?" So it wasn't just an accident like I had thought. "Can I speak with someone about this?" I ask.

"Give me a minute ma'am." he picks the phone up, and dials an extension.

"Yeah there's a girl here to speak with you... Ok... I'll send her up there right now." he hangs up. "Officer Smith is waiting for you." he points to the stairs. I look back at Nathan, and wonder if I should take him up there with me. He did bring me here. But should he know about this?

"Can he come up with me?" I turn to look at Nathan. The officer nods and we begin to walk towards the stairs.

"So the investigation is private now?" he asks as we reach the top of the staircase. I begin to look around for the name Smith. I see a man step out of his office, and looks over to me and Nathan. He must me officer Smith.

"Are you Officer Smith?" I ask when I'm standing in front of him. He nods his head, and motions me into his office.

"So what may I help you with?" he says as he takes a seat behind his desk.

"I have some questions on the accident that happened a couple days ago." he nods. "The one with Chris Evans." I say.

"Ok what are your questions?"

"What exactly happened? A doctor told me it was a drunk driver that hit him. Is that true?" He takes off his glasses, and stays silent. Is he waiting for me to ask more questions?

"Well to address the first question. We don't even know what happened that night. Secondly what that doctor told you is a lie. It wasn't a drunk driver that hit Mr. Evans it was a sober one." he pauses, takes a deep breath then continues. "We are beginning to see as an attempted murder. The breaks on Mr. Evans' car were cut. Someone was out to get him, or maybe still is. We don't know for sure. All we can do is keep a watch. If they want him gone, they will come back again, and finish the job." He puts his glasses back on, and looks around on his desk. He takes a folder out from under four more, and hands it to me. "This was the man that we believe did it. We ran some fingerprints on him.Turns out he's Canadian, and forgot they fingerprint people when they come into our country." I open the folder and almost choke on my saliva. This man looks familiar. Nathan looks over and takes the folder out of my hands.

"Do you know the man?" the Officer asks.

I shake my head, but Nathan speaks out. "Of course we know this man. It's her body guard." my head snaps to look at him.

Miles did this? Why would he? He never even met Chris. Wait the officer said he will back to finish the job. Angie doesn't know he did this. She'll let him in without a problem. Oh this bad.

"I need to go. I take the folder out of Nathan's grasp and set it down the desk. "We need to go to the hospital now." I'm sure Angie has called Miles, and he should there. I can't leave him and Chris alone. He might kill him.
