Chapter 24

I make it home and Adam runs and hugs me. I winced in pain.
"Dottie?! Where have you been?!?!"
"Knocked out on the sidewalk."
He released from the hug and said.
"What do you mean?!"
"Exactly what I said." He looks at my arms and saw that they were bruised.
"Oh my god... What happened?!"
I told him what had happened.
"Why would they do that?!"
"They said I was messing with his girl when she was messing with me."
"Do you know her name?"
"Sydney..."
"I thought you two were friends...?!"
I looked down.
"Wait a minute..." He said.
"I didn't say anything anything all day either..." He got closer to me and lifted my bangs off my forehead.
"Oh my god..."
"What?!" He took a picture of it and showed it to me. It said MUTE. I sat there and stared at it. Adam got a wet napkin and wiped it off. I put his phone down. I grabbed mine while Adam continued to get the marker off. I checked Facebook and Sydney was writing mean things all over it. Adma watched me as i deleted my account.
"Why did you delete it?"
"So her words couldn't get to me..."
"We need to talk to the principal about this."
"No don't! I'm sure it's just a one time thing..."
"Ok... well go upstairs and get to bed."
"Ok night." I went to my room and went to sleep.
(Adam's POV)
"Hey Ross..."
"Is she there yet?!"
"Yeah. She showed up a couple of minutes ago. She had bruises all'm over her arms and MUTE write across her forehead." I told him whag happened.
"Why the FUCK would someone punch an innocent lttile girl?!"
"I can't answer that..."
"Alright well i better go."
"Alright bye Ross."
"Bye Adam."
