Friends Reunite

"Jacquelyn wake up" I heard Emma scream. I rolled over to see Emma shaking Jacquelyn. "Emma" I whispered. She turned to me and crawled over. "Kevin is crying" she said pointing over to Kevin. You could clearly see the faint tear streaks. I sat up and looked closer. He was dreaming. "Should we wake him up" Emma squeaked. "Um, I don't know" I said slowly. "Let me go jump on him" Emma tryed to run over to Kevin. "No" I sneered.

She settled back down beside her sister and I crawled over to Kevin. I got to Kevin and began to lightly shake him. "Kevin" I whispered into his ear. His eyes fluttered. I shook him a little more. He finally opened his eyes and looked up. His jaw dropped. "Hanna" he whispered. I nodded smiling. "I thought your father..uh..well...um" Kevin studered. I rolled up my sleeve to revile my bruises. A tear ran down his face. "Stop it's okay" I said putting my hand on his forehead. He shook his head "no it's not Hanna. I should have...". "Stop" I yelled. He shut up. I crawled back over to my sleeping bag and pulled the bag over me. Shutting out Kevin and his sorrow for stupid stuff.
I shouldn't have shown him my bruises. I shouldn't have done anything and let him cry, be a big baby. Why did he feel guilty in the first place. It's not like he could even try to go up against my father.

"Hanna, Jacquelyn" I heard Emma giggle. I released the covers that were over my head. I looked up to see Emma on the edge of her seat. "What" Jacquelyn sneered rubbing her eyes. "We need to go outside" she complained. "We can't Emma" I whispered. "But someone is knocking on the grass top" She smiled. Fear bubbled up inside me. "What" Jacquelyn said with a voice crack. Emma held a smile, something wasn't right.

We all stopped for a minute to listen, to see if Emma was lieing. Out of nowhere bangs filled the still air. I turned to Jacquelyn, but she was paralyzed in fear. "Jacquelyn what do we do" I whispered. She looked over to me and put her index finger to her lips.

BANG BANG BANG BANG. The bangs still went on. Nothing stopping them till what ever was making the noise got in. "LET ME IN" I heard it scream. I shook in fear. "JACQUELYN" it yelled. I turned to Jacquelyn to see recinition but she only closed her eyes. "HANNA" it yelled again. It knows my name. This person needed help, I could tell. I didn't have to be afraid of it, I need to be afraid of whatever it was trying to escape from.

I shot up from my sleeping bag. I turned to Jacquelyn and gave her a grin before racing over to the ladder.

The wooden bars made the most ear renching sound when you race up them.

Once I got to the grass top cover I fumbled with the lock. After what felt like forever I unlocked it. I opened it only so my eyes where showing and that I can close it at any minute.

"Hello?" I whispered. A cool crisp breeze answered me with a howl. "Hello?" I asked again a little louder. A shadow swept over the opening. Two shoes jumped in front of my eyes. It nelt down in front of me. "Help me, let me in" it begged. The sun was in my eyes so I couldn't see who was saying this. "Who are you" I demanded. "Raquel, Hanna just let me in" Raquel sighed.

Raquel was here. She is my best friend, will at school we were the top and the best. How did she find us anyway?

I lifted the grass top up a little more. I saw Raquel staring at me. I moved over a bit to leave room for her to come down. She quickly crept in beside me. I closed the top and locked it tight.

"Raquel?" I heard Jacquelyn question. I jumped down off the last few bars and walked back to my sleeping bag. "Why did you come here?" I asked sitting down on my. "I saw you come down, and I wasn't safe out and about" she answered quickly seating herself in Emma chair. I looked over to Emma giving Raquel a dirty look. Emma crawled over to me and her lips brushed against my ear. "Something is off about her" she whispered. I nodded in agreement. Raquel hated dirty stuff, and we are sorounded by dirt. She has the best family and she has anything, here she has nothing. So why was she here, something wasn't right.

"What time is it" I heard Calvin groan. He sat up to see Raquel. She gave him a slight wave and he said blushed! Who blushes? Oh Calvin, he was to vonerable. "Oh hi" Raquel squeaked. I noticed she began to blush a little too. What a great actress. She has a boyfriend, she has for more than 5 years, and Raquel always hated Calvin, Kevin, and Jacquelyn. Whenever they passed in school she would always give them a dirty look, or trip them. I didn't do any of that, probably why I was aloud in. If I was like Raquel maybe not. "Hi" Calvin said turning beet red. I had to step in and stop this. "Hey Raquel can I talk to you. Outside" I said standing up. She nodded and walked right behind me.

We eventually got outside and I lead Raquel behind the boulder. "Why are you here?" I sneered. I was done with people pushing others around, like Raquel did. "Me? I'm here because you are. Also why are you here. These are the know it alls at whatever. They don't deserve you" Raquel smiled. It took me back. That wasn't the real answer. I could see through her 7 layers of mascara and mask of concealer. She wasn't telling the whole truth. "Well I don't belive you" I smiled back. Raquel narrowed her brow ( that was completely fake because it was drawn on ). "I'm you idiotic bitch. Why are you here" she huffed. I was taken back. She never swore at me or had it directed to me. "I'm here because I have nowhere else to go and they are my friends" I yelled. I didn't know how else to get the point across. "Sure" she had a sly smile cross her face. I was done, I stormed off to the grass top. I was planning to lock it once I got down. Though once I got there I was to late. I opened it and tryed to shut it as fast as I could. Raquel put her foot under just before I could completely shut it. She opened it all the way up and looked down at me. "You can't get rid of me now. I know where you guys are and I will gladly tell the police" she grinned. She leaned down close to my ear. "You will never get rid of me now" she whispered before standing back up and crawling down the ladder with me.
