The cool breeze hit me once I was alone, out of sight from the cops, away from the lights. The stars danced in the night sky, and meteor #45 just stayed still. Yes I know it's moving closer and closer to earth but at this point it looked as if it was standing still.
I spotted the boulder in the distance and started to sprint. Snow kicked up on my pants as I ran faster and faster each and every step.
Once I got to the grass top I quickly pulled it up. I scrambled to get onto the ladder. I shut the top and fumbled with the lock. "Hanna?" Kevin called up. I was just starting to climb down when something hit my back, something hard and that hurt. I groaned in agony and fell off the ladder.
I hit the ground and my friends gathered around me. "I'm sorry I just thought you where Raquel" Calvin said holding up a BB gun. "We heard you guys fighting and Emma told us everything" Jacquelyn added. I was grateful, not because I was lying on my back in pain from my friends shoting me with a BB gun, but because they cared, they were going to do that to Raquel. Which makes me greatful that at lest they care for me.
I sat up, arms supporting me. "So what happened?" Kevin questioned. I looked around the room, I didn't know why but I was paranoid that someone was listening to me, to us. "Well--" I started.
I told them everything I could remember from tonight. Jacquelyn was stunned at what I was telling her for some reason. "It's late, we should go to bed" Jacquelyn started rushing us. Kevin raised his brow at Jacquelyn's response. Then Calvin gave her a puzzling look, and Emma stepped back and widened her eyes. "She is right, it's late" I stepped in, at lest then I can try and forget about Raquel. I crawled to my sleeping bag. Hoping, wishing, praying that I can get a good night sleep.
"Hanna get back here" my father hissed. I was running to my room. I got in and slammed the door shut. I locked my door and pushed my dresser against it. My door shook every pound my father threw at it. "Oh Hanna" a voice came from behind me. Raquel was at my window. "I can't do anything about this Raquel, if you can then please tell me" I said putting my hand on my hip. She rolled her eyes and stood. "Follow me Hanna, it will take your mind off things" her voice pierced my ears. Raquel got onto the window sill and stopped. Not thinking I followed her.
I gasped. Cold sweat drenched my sleeping bag and my clothes. How could I have ever trusted her. She even broke into my room at my most vonerable time so she could just play with me. I wish I would have never trusted her, or been her friend. Though now it was obvious I didn't care for her or was her friend, I sent her to jail.
I pushed myself up and stood. I looked around the room, everyone was sound asleep. Kevin looked like he was in a coffin, with his arm crossed over his chest. Calvin was on his stomach, drooling. Jacquelyn and Emma where cuddled together in one sleeping bag. I didn't know what to do, I was just standing there. My phone buzzed on the side table. It was Jessica.
Jess: Hanna?????
Hanna: What do you want?
Jess: I can't stay with dad anymore. I want wait no need to stay somewhere else. Maybe with you?
Hanna: Um Jessica, it's pretty packed in here. Plus they are sleeping so I can't ask right now.
Jess: Can we just meet, either way I want to see you again, I miss you Hanna.
Hanna: Now you sound like a clingy boyfriend but okay I'll meet you at 711 in 15 minutes.
Jess: Okay
I put my phone in my back pocket and searched for a coat. Once u finally found one (on the other side of the room) I pulled it tight around me and headed up.
A forceful wind struck me once I got up to the earth's surface. I made my way out and shut the grass top behind me. The wind tryed to push me over, but I put my arm up to shield my eyes and took it one step at a time.
Once the light of the 711 sign came into view I straighted out. I began to sprint against the wind, which was a challenge but if I want to wait no need to see my sister I would do this for her.
I stepped into the 711 and instinantly two arms wrapped around me. I turned to see Jessica, eyes shut, squeezing me every second she held me. "Hey" I said a little suprised at the fact Jessica hasn't hugged me since mom's funeral. "I can't live with that man" Jessica said, head buried in my jacket. "What happened?" I questioned. Jessica lifted her head, "After you left he took his rath out on me, then Oma died from a heart attack. Which he blames you for, so now all he talks about is death, you and killing you". I took a step back, my own father wants to kill me, his own child. "You can't stay there, I don't care what the others say, you are coming with me" I said looking my sister in my eyes. Her eyes started to swell up with tears. Jessica hugged me tight. She released me and I began to lead her back outside.
I was greatful that I had my sister on my side. She would stand with me till the end. Though there was one tiny problem, I haven't asked and where was Jessica going to sleep for the night, and my dad was on the loose hunting me and my sister down. But hey, how bad can this be.
A/N: Jessica is back guys!!!!!
