The Last Meteor

1 More Month

Feathers flooded the room. Pillows flew through the air and laughter was heard from every corner of the room. It was great to get my mind off of stuff, which includes there is only 1 more month till meteor #45 enters the atmosphere and kills all life as we know it.

"STOP" Jacquelyn screamed as I hit her with my pillow. I blushed then backed away. "Guys look at this mess, just let's stop for a minute and calm down and clean this place up" Jacquelyn panted. I looked around, feathers everywhere, and we didn't have a vacuum, this had to be cleaned up by hand. Also every pillow was ruined. "Oh great Hanna now what are we going to sleep on" Jessica sneered. Great, I told her to be nice to my friends but not to me, I would have to reinsurer her of that. "I'm sorry, but we all got carried away" I apologized. Jacquelyn blushed, "Maybe just a little" she confessed. Emma laughed at the response and I did too. "Guys less laughing more cleaning" Calvin said over our laughs.

I gathered about 12 feathers before I started to give up. "I hate this, why can't we get a vacuum" I complained. "Because" Calvin said bluntly before setting his feathers down. "You know what I give up" Jacquelyn shouted, throwing her feathers onto the ground. "Same" Jessica paired with Jacquelyn. Emma nodded and did the same as her sister and mine. "Wow you just give up, how are we going to clean this mess up" Kevin spoke softly. Insync Jessica and Jacquelyn rolled their eyes. I stood up, "I know what to do ". All eyes went to me, "Give me a half an hour" I explained while I rushed over and grabbed a jacket.

I got to Home Depot and rushed inside. I only had half an hour.

Almost all the aisle where cleared out. I got to the home section and wandered around till I saw a hand held vacuum. I guess it could work. I grabbed it and started heading towards the check out aisle.

I lifted the box onto the counter and the cashier scanned it. "Is that all" he said. "Ya" I replied grabbing to box. "You have to pay" he said as I was about to leave. I turned around and glared at the cashier. I reached into my pocket and pulled out $20. "Is that good anough" I scowled. He nodded and I walked out.

I was walking back with a mini vacuum in my hands. "Hanna" a voice called from behind me. I froze and slowly turned to see who called my name. It was (to my surprise) Kevin. "What are you doing out here" I asked. "Checking on you, it has been 45 minutes" he confessed. "That's no reason to be worried about me" I said confused, he wasn't just out here for me. "I'll walk back with you" he said catching up to me.

Kevin and I walked in silence till we got to the boulder. "I'll help you with that" he said taking the mini vacuum box. I lifted up the grass top and started to climb down with Kevin.

We got to the bottom and I took the box from Kevin. "That's your idea" Jacquelyn snickered. "Yes it is" I said, opening the box. I pulled the mini vacuum out and turned it on. It instinantly started sucking up some feathers. But no later it got clogged up with the feathers. "Great plan Hanna" Jessica clapped slowly. Emma snickered at the response. "Well I'm sorry guys, okay I'm sorry" I screamed. I've had anough of being pushed around by Jessica and everyone blaming me. Why did I even bring Jessica here. I should have left her on the streets, told her to go to a motel but no I had to have a heart and let her in. What have I done, I left for a reason, and she was one of them. At one point I thought she changed.

I threw the mini vacuum across the room spilling feathers back onto the floor. Everyone took a step back. I swooped my jacket up and stormed up the ladder.

Snow blew in every direction. The wind was cold and crisp. I slammed the top down and went around the side of the boulder. I crossed my arms and sat in the snow. My legs instinantly became numb. A tear ran down my check. "Why" I questioned myself. I buried my head in my hands. "I don't know" Kevin said from beside me. I jumped the settled down after I relized it was him. "Go away" I mumbled. Kevin stepped closer to me, "No I won't Hanna". I looked up and glared right into his soul. "What happened back there" he asked. "You guys expect to much from me. I try so hard but" I screamed, but I was inturupted by Kevin putting his finger to my lips. It was like with Calvin all over again. I jerked my head back from his finger. I know what he is trying to do, he wants to kiss me like Calvin tryed to. Kevin leaned in for a kiss. I threw my hand back then forward again slapping Kevin right across the face. He instinantly put his hand to his check. I rolled my eyes and got up from my snowy spot and started to walk away. "Hanna" Kevin called from behind me, "HANNA".

After Kevin's screams couldn't be heard anymore or I couldn't be seen I searched the pockets of my jacket for money. I found another $20. That means I can spend one night at a motel.

I got to a motel near the 711 where I meet Jessica. I went to the front desk. "One night please" I said placing the $20 on the counter. A women with purple and black hair took my money and gave me a key.

I wandered around the motel till I found my room. I opened the door and flipped the lights on. The room was cluttered with stains and garbage. I sighed and headed in. It was only one night. Right?

A/N: Kevin tryed to kiss Hanna?!?!? And in return Hanna slapped him????
