Of All The Stars {Newt FanFic}

Chapter 9:

Ella woke the next morning to find Aris had fallen asleep on the floor beside her bed. She quietly step over the boy and began to get ready for the day.  She stared back into the mirror. For a moment she realized that she too had grown much. She had noticed Rachel and Teresa growing. Both of them were taller now, Teresa a bit taller than her while her and Rachel were the same height.  Rachel had grown into beautiful teenager. Her dark brunette hair had grown into nice long wave.  She overall had this look of innocence and caring about her reminding Ella of a baby deer. She could see why Aris had liked her so. Teresa had grown very much so into her features. Her brilliant blue eyes complimented against her dark black hair. She was tall and lean with fairly decent breasts. Ella however found hers small compared to Teresa, still cute though right?  She felt a bit flustered at the moment looking back at how much her and her friends have grown.  As for herself Ella had grown too. Her hair was longer though she cut just below her breasts. 'Mermaid Hair' Rachel had put it do to the way her hair waved towards the ends. Ella quickly gathered it up into a bun revealing her pale face. She frowned at the abundance of freckled that speckled her cheeks. The bags under her eyes seemed to be complimentary of being a wckd test subject. She actually looked quite disheveled. And she wondered what it was Newt liked about her. Then she began to worry if he'd still like her looking the way she did. Sure she still liked him, but she felt he got much more handsomer and she well stayed the same. Ella shook her head suddenly feeling ashamed for being so  insecure. She quickly returned to her normal routine and got ready.

She walked back into the room to find Teresa already gone. Aris however was still asleep and Rachel was hovering over him. Upon seeing Ella Rachel placed a finger on her lips. Ella noticed the mischievous smile on her lips as she raised a glass of water. Ella chocked back a laugh as she nodded watching Rachel pour the water upon Aris. The boy jolted awake inhaling desperately. His eyes fluttered from Ella and Rachel. Ella watched with a smile as Aris quickly pulled Rachel down tickling his side. "You jerk!" He muttered. while Rachel sheirked In laughter. These were the times that reminded Ella of the previous years, before everyone left. The laughs, The pranks, even the silly little arguments. She missed them all. But was happy she could still enjoy some small moments like these. She silently slipped out the room heading to her work leaving the two giggly teens be.

She settled down at her desk and began watching over the two glades. Around noon she noticed something amiss. Newt wasn't tending to his garden as usual. She flipped between cameras before catching a glimpse of him. He was staring up one of the sides of a wall in a desolate part of the dead-ends. Ella's anxiety rose as she continued watching. Newt had been staring down at the little star charm Ella watched with sorrow as his shoulders began to shake. After a few moments he began to climb the wall. Ellas heart dropped as she realized what was happening. Newt was going to jump. She found the "no's" escaping her lips before even thinking of it. As newt got higher and higher she found her pleas getting louder. She watched her reach the top sitting at the edge for a moment. "Newt please don't do this." She cried, salty tears ran down her face.

Her cries went unheard as the boy looked below him. He softly kissed the little charm in his hand before shoving it back in his pocket. Ella found herself unable to utter a sound as he stood up. She watched as one foot went over the edge than another. His body falling down who knows how many flights landing with a large thump. He lay in crumbled heap on the ground. A pool of blood quickly growing around him. His leg twisted back. And then Ella found her voice again only now it was a terrifying scream that could break glass. She then turned on her heal and was running out the room towards the Thomas and the others. "You can't go in there." A guard said as Ella busted through the doors.  Her four friends sat staring at the screens in horror. Thomas was shouting pounding his fists against the table tears streaming down his face. An equally tearfull Teresa was attempting to calm him down. Aris had rushed to his sisters side allowing herself to crumbled within him. "I wanna go in right now!" Thomas demanded at the frightened orderlies. "SEND ME IN!!" HE yelled.

Rachel was the first to actually do something productive in a rash decision. She was out the door. She walked quickly and calmly attempting not to draw attention to herself. She gathered as many medical supplies as she could including water blankets and clothes. She then grabbed bags of blood from the infirmary. Glad she had written down newt's blood type before leaving. She stuffed the supplies in a bag and headed towards the lift. They weren't due for supplies till another month but newt needed these desperately.  She checked around quickly finding only one guard about. Rachel tightened her fingers around a needle in her hand. In a swift action she stabbed the Guard in the neck watching him fall to the ground. Quickly she opened the doors to the lift and threw the bag of supplies in. She could here the loud steps of the gaurds down the halls and she quicky closed the door. pressing the button. "WHAT HAVE YOU DONE?" The Ratman shouted angrily grabbing the girl. Rachel was now crying angry hot tears. She spat in his face. "You made him do it!" She accused the man. The others had made their way into the room.  Ella was holding an angry Aris back.

"You little bitch! How dare you question me!!" The Ratman sneered pinning the girl to the wall. "Don't you call her that" Aris threatened. Rachel was still fighting under the Ratmans hold. "Newt was hurting, but he would never leave his friends behind in the glade!" Rachel insisted. "Is this true?" Thomas shouted from behind the man. Teresa was now holding him back.  "I won't let you kill him off!! Not My Friends. I'm done seeing my friends die...." Her voice faded away as she was injected by another guard. The ratman dropped the girl roughly to the floor. allowing Aris to push past him towards the unconscious girl.  The Ratman faced Thomas to speak more but was greeted by a punch to his jaw. The Man stumbled back a bit while guards grabbed Thomas. They roughly restrained him ignoring Teresa and Ellas pleas.  They landed a few rough punches into the boy till her passed out.

"Now children." The man said to the remaining few. "I want you all to know that no matter how much you hate us, no matter how you may want to escape... there is none.. because wckd is good."
