Two hours ago, Bailey and I has just gotten out of the children’s hospital and separated our ways going home. She insisted meeting me at the restaurant when I offered to drive her home and wait for her to get changed, but she thinks it’s too early for me to see her house, or maybe even her family members as this was our first date.

And the thing is, getting uncomfortable with me was the last thing I ever wanted. Plus the fact she was only doing this because she felt guilty of the slaps, I didn’t want her to change her mind into going out with me.

I know it was a bad idea trapping her, knowing she accepted the date because of the slaps executed on my arm.

I wonder though if she could have just said yes if I asked her directly without any trap.

But it’s too late for that now, though there’s always a next time. I just wish things go well tonight.

I guess it was also a great idea she didn’t want me to drive her home, so I could have a shower and smell good tonight. Only for her, of course.

Our date was set at 6pm in a fancy restaurant downtown, La Symphonia. It was already 5pm, and getting there takes a twenty-five minute drive from my place, but I thought I would make a good impression if I leave early, and I really didn’t want Bailey waiting for me.

It’s not a great idea to keep your lady waiting.

But then I failed. Just as I was about to park, I saw Bailey standing outside the restaurant looking down on the pavement.

She was as beautiful as ever. Wearing a white sleeveless dress, with gold and white gold accents all around, with a pair of gold heels, hugging all her curves perfectly which makes her look like an angel straight from the heavens above. Yes, I do admit I sound like a girl right now.

Her hair was down tonight, instead of having it tied in a ponytail every time I see her at the supermarket, or down at the hospital tonight. She was also wearing makeup; her lips were bright red similar to a delicious red apple.

Perhaps I should stop gazing from a far and walk towards her now. I feel like a complete stalker appreciating her beauty inside the car.

“Hey Bailey, how long have you been waiting?” I asked, hoping she wasn’t here for too long.

“About ten minutes. There wasn’t any traffic.” She commented. She looked at me for a bit, and then she focused on her hands resting on her thighs, fidgeting.

“Did you drive here?” I inquired.

She shook her head. “I took the bus.”

Oh.

And I thought she was fully dressed taking the bus. She might have felt uncomfortable, judging by the way she was acting right now.

“Well come on then.” I gestured my hand out to her, and gladly she took it.

We went inside the restaurant, only greeted by the receptionist. The lady asked if we have reservations and I nodded, telling her my name. La Symphonia is one of the fanciest restaurants here in downtown and apparently, you need to reserve your seats, especially during dinner time. Luckily, someone backed out of his reservation which explains why we got in.

The receptionist called in another lady, which led us to our table. We were situated in the corner, by a glass window, perfect spot to look at the view, bright lights everywhere.

Guiding her to her seat, I waited until she was comfortable in her chair before sitting on mine, across from her. The waitress gave us both a menu, and left.
