* Bailey’s POV *
-Flashback-
After my shift at the bookstore, I hurriedly went home to change so I would look presentable when I assist Jill for her shoot tonight. I know I’m not one of the models so there was no need, but then I thought that maybe the people that Jill would be working with would question why I was the one who came with her tonight.
Though really, it wasn’t like a problem at all.
Soon, it was time for the meet up and I left my apartment and met Jill at the café. When I got there, she was already sitting down at one of the tables in the corner.
“Hey Jill!” I greeted her as I sat down on the seat across from her.
“Hey, thanks for coming!” She exclaimed. I could see she was nervous, but as soon as I sat down, her nervous state disappeared in the blink of an eye. “Order anything you want, it’s on me.”
“I’ll just get some coffee.” I uttered as she called one of the waiters to order my coffee. As soon as the waiter got my order, I stood up to go to the bathroom.
“Where are you going?”
“The bathroom.” I said and she nodded.
-End of Flashback-
* John’s POV *
“Looking for Bailey? Come pick her up at three. Below you can find the address, go and save your princess. But if you bring some back up, this building will blow up.” Xander uttered loudly as he took the note in my hand while I stood there frozen, my mouth dropped.
This was my dream the other day, and my instincts were right. No actually, Jill and I’s instincts were right about Bailey getting into trouble.
‘Why Bailey of all people?’ This was the top question I’d like to have answers. Why her?
Last time I checked, she didn’t even do anything. She was always sweet and didn’t have any enemies. But when Jaq came back, everything turned out into mayhem. She ruined everyone’s life, mine included.
“What time is it?” I asked as I remembered the time on the note, indicating I had to be there by three.
“It’s one in the morning.” Tori answered. Panic was obvious in her voice, even though she doesn’t have an inkling of what’s going on. The only information she was holding onto was what happened tonight, and the fact that my girl was missing.
As I heard the time, I snapped out of my thoughts and decided to leave. I still have to find where the place was. The address was unfamiliar to all of us; it could be in the middle of nowhere. Typing the address into the GPS, I found the area and it’s about a forty-five minutes drive from here, which means I need to go so I’ll be there right in time.
“I’ll come.” Xander said as I took the note with me, in case I needed it later on.
“No. You read the note.” I stopped him. I want Bailey to be safe.
“But I think the note refers to calling the cops and not a single friend to come with you.” Jill states. It could be true, but I’m not taking any chances.
“You’re still considered a back up, Xander.” I stated as a matter-of-factly. “I don’t want to risk anything.”
Xander rummaged through one of his drawers and pulled a box out. “Take this with you. You never know.” He uttered as he gave me a gun for my protection.
