Just Me

See, I'm just plain old me.
Nothing extraordinary you really could see.
Nothing special catches your eye.
Well besides the hair dye.
No tattoos, no piercings, no misfit.
To the blind eye, I look innocent.
The second I let you in, everything's changed.
It seems my life rearranged.
You see my scars, hear my thoughts, see my tears.
You even realize my biggest fears.
The innocent me smiles so bright.
But the real me comes out at night.
Really strange how I can go from good to bad.
I'm sorry to have made you sad.
My scars, my marks, are all hidden away.
Day after day.
But my scars have started to fade away.
Because of what one girl had to say.
"I love you".
She meant what she said.
She put all my bad thoughts to bed.
No more razors, no more burns, no more scars.
Instead, I look among the stars.
Each one, a reason I love her.
There aren't enough stars in the sky.
Without her, I'd probably die.
She's my stars, my world, my light.
She makes everything bright.
That smile she has.
Her eyes. Her lips.
Her laugh. Her jokes.
Her thoughts. Her words.
Her care. Her love.
The way she threw me off my rhyme.
What impact she had on my life.
10/10 is the reason I smile, and its a real one this time. :)
