Field of Innocents Part 2

No POV

"Hey! I thought you said there were two Asian girls living here Scotty!" a chunky, bald man indicates, as he peeps around the entire room.

"They do," he assures his partner. Scotty stands 6-foot-tall with sharp, strong features, making him look rather intimidating to others. When he moves forward to steps over the dead body on the floor, his eyes squint slightly to examine everything inside the house. "One is a woman, and the other is a 9-year-old little girl," he adds.

The third guy from behind him whistles. "Very well... Where are they," he eagerly questions. This man has a long, slender nose, almond shape eyes and an unruly beard. "Some filthy rich pervert would pay handsomely for the child... I'm sure. We should charge double the amount, maybe even triple." He chuckles.

Scotty's eyelids flutter close in thought. "Good idea... but, for now," he pauses and opens his eyes again. "Search for them first..."

He carefully walks further inside the house and headed for the kitchen area. "Hello... is anyone there?"

Misa's mom quietly hid behind a wall with a santoku knife seized tightly in the palm of her hand. She was prepared to fight to protect her daughter from any harm.

Unfortunately, things didn't work out as plan. The woman heard Misa wail from the next room over. She was dragged out of her hiding place in the closet.

Scotty whistles, "Look what we have here..."

"It looks like you found yourself a little girl, boss" says the fat one with a disturbing smug expression on his hideous face.

Misa thrashes furiously in his grasp and shouts "release me at once!"

The crooked smirk on Scotty's lips grew with amusement, as he pulled her up by the hair. "Be a nice little girl and tell me where your mommy is, OK?"

Intensely, she glares at him, before spitting on in his face.

Her insult causes him to turn beet red while trembling with fury. "You little twit," he yells before punching her in the gut.

Once he releases her hair, she collapses to her knees and gasps for air while cradling her stomach.

"Don't you think that was a little too much," one of them say with wide eyes.

Scotty flexed his fingers while stretching his hand out. "Shut up!" He shouts. "We only have one job... we were told to bring the little girl and her Asian mother back alive... Understood???"

The other men in the room nod before lowering their heads down.

As soon at Scotty turned his back away, a loud grunting noise booms from the opposite side of the room. The woman of the house charges towards him with a knife tightly in her grasp. She moves at the speed of lightening across the room and slit him across the stomach. Unfortunately, she fails miserably when he doesn't fall to his knees. Before she could get another chance to attack him, he grabs her up by the neck and wenches her face towards his.

"That wasn't nice," he points out with a sneer- however his smile didn't match his eyes. They were filled with anger and hatred.

"Let my daughter go," she demands, strongly. "Before I cut your tongue out and shove it down your throat!"

Hearing her utter these words, he furiously tosses her on the floor across the room. She lands rashly on her side against the wall with a sharp groan forcefully escaping her throat.

Scotty tore his eyes away from her in disgust and fixed his eyes on his partners. "Psychotic bitch... I'm going to the bathroom to try and stop the bleeding... you two stay here and watch them."
