'That Chibi Yuki, There's too many mysteries about him,' Hijikata thought, examining the boy. He is wearing light blue kimono with dark blue trim, courtesy of Saito's money. He had less bandages on because of his fair recovery.
Yuki tensed, sensing he was getting stared.
'I wish I could ask him more questions...,' Hijikata thought. 'Especially about yesterday... should I spend the day with him and try finding the answer?'
"Hijikata...," Heisuke said, sweatdropped. Immediately he gains his attention. "Can you stop glaring at Chibi? Look you're scaring him..."
'Glaring?' Hijikata thought then turned to the boy. Their eyes met and Yuki flinched at his gaze and panicked.
"Ah, sorry about that," Hijikata apologized then immediately the boy calmed and now smiling, talking to Chizuru.
'He's frightened then panicked then crying and smiling the next... his emotions sure switches a lot,' Hijikata thought. 'He is really complicated'
The rest of the meal where pretty quiet with few small talks until Hijikata decided to speak up his mind.
"Sanosuke, I'll take care of the boy-I mean, Yuki today... so you go patrol in my place," Hijikata said simply catching the red haired captain off guard.
"Eh?" Sanosuke looked at their commander in surprise, trying to find other meaning in his word. The others also feel the same and abruptly stopped eating.
"Um... Hijikata? Are you ok?" Heisuke asked.
"Why wouldn't I be?" Hijikata asked back.
They imagined leaving them together. One is like a helpless little kitten and one is like a fierce lion. The little kitten always seems to be afraid of the lion and the lion was totally oblivious how scary he was to the kitten. It didn't seems like they're gonna get along.
'Haha, our commander is taking care of Chibi? This is interesting,' Souji thought, smirking.
'Hijikata is trying to be nice to him... it's going to snow,' Shinpachi thought.
'Didn't Hijikata made him cry before?' Sanosuke thought.
'Somehow... I had a bad feeling about leaving those two,' they all immediately thought and gives Hijikata a hesitant looks.
Hijikata just glared at them with a tick mark on his head. "You know.... I'm not stupid and can pretty much figure out what you're thinking"

"....Don't stand too close to the rain, you're going to catch a cold," Hijikata said.
"Em..," Yuki simply responded then sat with the wall on his back, warping his arms around his knees.
"Are you waiting for your friends from yesterday?"
"Kirimaru and the others promised we play Hide and Seek today... I am 'it'.." Yuki said.
"...Aren't you cold being outside like this? Let's go inside"
Yuki stayed quiet and didn't move a muscle from his spot. "We promised.... so I'm... going to wait for them...," he muttered.
Hijikata sighed. "You know, I don't think they're coming if it's raining heavily like this... they can't come... even if they wanted to, their parents probably won't allow them, do you understand?"
Yuki looked at him with a disappointed looks. "... Oh"
'Don't give me that looks,' Hijikata sweatdropped. 'It's not my fault, it was raining today...'
