Extra Chapter- Sannan no Nikki

Since I'm still didn't get enough comments for the previous author note yet. I'm still waiting few days to make the decision final or for others to choose. Also... for the quiz... I wonder why nobody picked bloody purity...? Doubting my decision now~ hmmm...anyway... Meanwhile, I wrote you guys this extra chap.

-First page-

We received a letter containing an information about weapon trafficking at a certain Lord house by an anonymous sender.

After a few discussions and sending Yamazaki to investigate. It turns out it was true.

We assembled around 30 men and including Yukimura Chizuru, someone under Shinsengumi's surveillance to arrest the residents involved.

We have the surprise element, making the mission easier although now... I think we need to reconsider of taking Yukimura along in any mission after this.

That girl easily targeted by enemy. As she seems the weakest... luckily, Heisuke was near to help her.

I don't know the details but when they got out, Heisuke was carrying a child on his back.

He was all beaten up and bloody. He's hardly breathing. His face is so pale and sickly. He's very small and thin for a child of his age.

I don't think he's could live any longer than a week.

It already been two days since we took in the child.

He always had a innocent and peaceful looks on his face like he was only sleeping and having a nice dream... Not unconscious from severe injuries.

I feel sorry such small child was suffering...

The injuries turns out much worse than it seems. There's even old wounds that was never been attend....

He must've been through a lot..... the scars told me the unkind part of his life.

Especially... the one on his back

I rushed from the capital to the headquarter hearing the boy woke up... and fainted from his injuries.

I could say I was very furious.

Why is he on a tree in the first place? Why are they interrogating him without my permission? On top of that, forgetting to check on his injuries or asking how is he feeling beforehand?

Seriously... the others can be so unreliable and careless..

I had to came back to the Capital on the same day... remembering I still had few works to do...

Huh..

Strange.. I always had been professional and never leave my work unfinished to attend any personal matter..

Yet... why did I rushed over the headquarter as soon as I heard the news?

Don't tell me.... I'm starting to care for this child?

As soon as I'm back from the capital.. a lot happened...

I got careless and paid for my negligence... my arm... I might not be able to use a sword again...

And that child seems to have woken up but had an amnesia... and couldn't even remember his own name.

I found out his temporary name is Yuki.

That day it was raining heavily, we heard Hijikata's voice from the back... yelling. When we decided to check it out that child came running into my arm, crying.

...I can't leave the child for a minute with the others....just what are they thinking?

Yuki didn't seems to want me to let go....

With slight effort, I had to carry him with my uninjured arm. Even if Hijikata and Koudou-san insists they'll do it...

I can't leave him alone... especially with Hijikata.

When I put him to sleep. He was still crying... probably because of a nightmare...
