Valarie spent the entire day in a bad mood and then decided to go the park after school to distract herself, deep inside she was hoping she would run into Ian. She noticed how the park was full of flowers and blossoms. It was a soothing weather, the blue sky was full of clouds scattered around and a gentle wind was blowing. She walked in the park for a while and tried to enjoy the beauty of nature, eventually she got tiered and sat on a bench under a tree.
She sat there for a while lost in thought, she kind of blacked out as she became unaware of her surroundings and was lost in her own stressful world inside her head. She did not notice a kid walking before her with his parents, she didnt see the butterflies flutter about the flower bushes and she didnt pay attention to the person who came and sat next to her on the bench.
It was not till a familiar voice called her name that she woke up from her thoughts and turned to look at the young man who sat beside her. She stared into his brown eyes for a while, long enough to notice that the shade of brown was a little on the red side, she might have been imagining it because she loved the colour red. "Hi," she said
"Am i disturbing a day dream?" he asked.
"No, i mean, it wasnt a day dream, i was just...you know," her words slowly turned to a mumble till nothing was audible then she changed the topic,"So...what's up?"
"Just a routinely visit to the park."
"Do you come often? Do you live near by?"
"Yeah, i like to come here and visit that restaurant i took you to. otherwise i'm either roaming the streets or locked in the house." Valarie nodded as he spoke and after that there was a gap of silence that she tried hard to break. they sat there for a while, looking around, then she finally thought of something to say.
"So are we friends now?"
"I guess so, are we? i mean i'd love to be your friend but do you?" he seemed nervous or was at least trying to be.
"Yeah sure, i mean you are nice and i think we could be friends."
"Then lets make this place our daily meeting place, well daily may be too much but..."
"It's fine, i'll try my best to show up whenever i can."
"Great, so friends," he said extending his hand and she instantly remembered how Isaac and her started in a same way. Was she really ready to make a new friend? She was never good at making friends and keeping them had become hard too, maybe that was Isaac's fault too but still...could she commit to a new friendship? Unaware of so many other things that she was getting herself into she decided to take the risk of making this handsome stranger her friend and she took his hand and the shook it...
Well, was this a good idea? should she be friends with him? and what is she getting herself into? You wont see it coming...time to get pumped people, vote and comment here :D
