As promised, Valarie agreed to meet Ian in the park whenever possible. At first both of them were shy and not sure what was the best way to interact with each other. Then slowly they started to act like themselves but Valarie was more careful with him. She tried to avoid being too open so suddenly like she did with Isaac. But Ian proved to be nothing like Isaac, well at first he was...Ian tried to act in ways he thought would impress her but later he stopped feeling afraid to show his true colors; be it good or bad. This is what she liked about Ian. Isaac seemed like a very good person at first, he noted how she was always lonely and gave her company, she saw her struggle with chemistry and he helped her out but Valarie didn't believe in his goodness anymore. It may have been true but the fact that he hid things from her and lied and kept secrets made her wonder if all of it was just an act to make her like him.

Ian on the other hand revealed his bad side; he turned out to be a very mischievous and fun-loving person who was always trying to find something new to entertain himself and Valarie didn't mind. He would often ask her to join in, sometimes she would, sometimes not. Ian was honest about many things like he didn't like children and would often tease kids especially the spoiled ones. He also said he hated cheesy couples that hung out in public and turns out so did Valarie. Ian would try to ruin their dates when he got the opportunity. At times Valarie would join him as he pranked, teased or bullied someone and at times she would watch laughing. She didnt always agree with his behavior and Ian always considered her objection but he never did anything seriously wrong he was just...having fun.

Weeks had passed since she first met him and for the first time he asked her to meet her someplace beside the park or the restaurant. He contacted her, which was actually rare since he always seemed too busy to text, but that day he asked her if she felt okay with them going some place at night. She never hung out with him after sunset except the time they had dinner because she was sort of the innocent type who stayed home during late hours. She took permission from her parents, telling them honestly about Ian. They trusted her but they always told her to be careful and cautious and asked that she shouldn't too late.

She left before sunset and went nervously, not sure what to expect. He had invited her to meet him at a mall where for a while they window shopped but Ian seemed to have better things in mind that to roam a mall.

"Something tells me you didnt invite me here to shop," Valarie commented.

"So glad you noticed, i hate shopping. its too boring."

"Well i dont enjoy it much either but why did you invite me here."

"Not sure...i guess i was just...well...you know...hey, do you want to get into a concert."

"I guess it sounds more interesting."

"The person is lame but let's just go for fun."

"Okay," she smiled.

"We have to rush then, it's not far but i think it may have already started."

And so they ran from the mall, crossing some dark, traffic filled streets and then arrived to a small indoor concert hall. They could hear music and noise coming from inside. They ran to the ticket booth but unfortunately it was sold out. Ian whispered a curse and then looked at the entrance. There were two guards, one of them was busy looking at the people who exited and the other was looking around.

"Need to distract that guard," Ian whispered.

"What are you...wait, are you planning to sneak in?"

"It's okay, you wait near the gate. act like you are waiting for someone to come out and i'll go distract the guards. you get in when they are not paying attention and run to the from-left side of the stage and i'll meet you there," he instructed. At first she thought to object but by the time she could have said anything he had already gone. She heard him yell as if he was arguing or fighting with some one and so she decided to go closer to the gate. By the time she reached there one of the guards left to check on the chaos Ian started. The instant the second guard looked away, she race into the gate but the guard saw her and called her.

"Hey you! stop!" But Valarie pushed herself deeper into the crowd to where Ian was supposed to meet him. She narrowly escaped from the guard, how would Ian get in? Would he make it?

It was so noisy and chaotic inside. She stood close to the stage on the left side. Her heart beating fast, she didn't know if she should go and check if Ian was still outside. Then someone tapped her from behind, it was Ian! "How'd you make it? i was so close to being busted by that guard."

"When the guard went after you, i just came from behind him...he never noticed," he smiled. "I'm an expert." They stood there trying to enjoy the concert but as Ian said it was 'lame'. "It'll be over soon, people are already starting to leave," he announced after a while and it was true...little by little, people left and the place became less crowded. Eventually, the singers left the stage and Valarie decided that they should leave too. "Wait," he said, "lets fool around a little longer."

"Okay, but i have to be home on time," she said.

"Dont worry we'll make it by then. Lets hide for a while, the guards will be here to make sure everyone left." They went to a corner beside the stage and hid behind a huge speaker. The guards did come and then some people came to pack things up but finally the room was left empty and Ian hopped on the stage. "Yo empty place!" he announced in the mike, "it's time for a new show...Valarie want to say something," he said while pointed the mike with her.

"umm...WOOHOOO!"he screamed, then he screamed and finally after a while a guy with a broom and a guard came to see who was making that noise.

"Hey you, get down from there," said the broom-guy

"She's the one who snuck in without a ticket."

Ian instantly grabbed Valarie's hand and ran backstage. They got out from the back entrance and raced in the middle of an empty road. When they were far enough they stopped, catched their breath and laughed. "You were right that was fun!"
