Am I In Some Kind Of Horror Movie? If So, Where Are The Cameras??
"Are you seriously going to going with that guy dressed like /that/?" Max pointed out staring wide eyed at my dress as Echo and I descended the stairs. Before I could say anything further a knock on the door interruptedme. Max walked over towards the door to open it but to only slam it. Turning to look at me with a scowl on his face.
"Was that Josh?" I asked and Max just nodded. "Who's being the child now? Open the door Max." I said crossing my arms over my chest.
"Fine." Josh opened the door and once Echo came into eye view he smiled at us but then he turned to Max and he just looked shocked by the guy who is standing before him.
"Who are you?" Josh asked Max. Shit! Max better not say something stupid to embarrass me.
"Her cousin. I'm here just visiting while the 'rents are gone." Max's voice came out monotone and strained.
"Oh okay. Got a name?" I cannot just stand here and-
"If we don't hurry up we're going to be late." Echo voiced out weaving her way through Max and grabbing Josh by his collar, dragging him towards his car. Seriously, it was as if Echo could read my mind sometimes.
"So-er-I'll see you later tonight?"
"Yeah whatever." Max groaned, sticking his hands in his pockets, not meeting my eyes. I stood on my tip-toes and kissed his cheeks before making a run for it towards Josh's car.
"So, how come your date didn't pick you up again Echo?" Josh asked while driving, I was in the passenger seat.
"He's going to meet me there, strange I haven't heard from him in like two days."
"You never told me who he is, and we're suppose to be best friends." I noted feigning hurt.
"Tate." She said simply.
"Tate? Tate Richards?" I was totally stunned.
"Yeah? So?"
"He's such a pervert."
"All guys are perverts Claire." Echo glared at the rear view mirror at Josh.
Once at the school, Josh parked and we piled out of the car. "Lets get our dancy-dance on!" Echo shrieked in excitement, I just giggled at her.
We make our way towards the school to only notice that the halls were completely dark but just enough for us to see. I had this bad feeling creep up an down my spine. Where was everyone anyways? "Where is everyone?"
"Probably all in the gym." Josh shrugged while Echo clinged to me, she always hated the dark.
We got closer and closer to the gym but as soon as Josh was about to open the double doors my hand shot out to stop him. "What is it?" He asked.
"I-I don't know I just had this awful feeling. Can you-can we just look through the window before we go in?" Now I just sounded ridiculous but I couldn't help it, something didn't settle right in my stomach.
"Fine, only for you." Josh peered into the window and his face fell to pure white. He looked as if he just saw a ghost or something.
"What is it?"
"You-I-I don't know what I just saw..."
"What do you mean? Let me see." Echo said pushing him out of the way. Echo was just about to scream when she looked into the window but Josh's hand shot out.
"What was is it?" Now I was getting irritated.
"See for yourself." Josh said still covering Echo's mouth.
