Michael's POV
Before Bonnie's Date
I ran all the way back home. Feeling like someone took out all of my emotions for anything! I opened the front door, and Janet wasn't there eating her vanilla ice cream anymore. I sighed. I kinda wanted to talk to my sister, I need help and she'd help me.
I shut the door behind me quietly. Everyone's asleep. Great. I'll be all alone tonight. Like I have been the past 15 years. It was a lonely 15 years that I never want to relive...but I have no choice now.
I realized I was sobbing loudly into my pillow when I heard my little sister walk into my room.
"Michael, Michael are you okay?!" She whisper-yelled.
I got up from the pillow, "My whole world has ended, Janet. It has ended." I managed to get out between sobs.
She turned the light switch on, and sat next to me on my bed.
"What happened? Did you find her?" she asked.
I nodded. Not wanting to speak.
"Really?! What happened?!" she asked as if I went on some long-drawn out adventure story.
I sighed, holding back my wails to speak, "I found her. I talked to her. She slapped me twice-"
Janet cut me off with a gasp. "What? Why?!"
"I tried to hug her, then I kissed her."
Then Janet thwacked the top of my head.
"Boy, what is wrong with you?!"
I rubbed my head, "What did I do wrong? I was trying to comfort her..."
"No, you never do that when a girl is mad at you! You do that when she's nervous and can't speak. Or when she's scared. Not when she's totally pissed off at you!" she gave me a 'Duh' expression.
"I'm sorry...?" I didn't understand women. But I loved them.
She sighed. "Michael, it's been a re-ally long night. We're both tired, and a little sad-"
"Little sad?!" I cut her off. "Janet, she's everything I ever wanted in a woman, and she told me that she regretted ever being with me! She told me that we should have never gone any further! I feel like I just messed up a miracle in life!" I felt my own tear land on my knee.
Janet's eyes had flooded with tears, "Michael," she hugged me tightly. "I'm so sorry. But she just needs time. I know she loves you more than anything. So she won't need that much time. You can go see her tomorrow. Just serenade her, and she'll come back to as if she was the kitten and you're her catnip." she smiled through her overfilled eyes.
I laughed, "Do you enjoy always making these analogies?"
She nodded. "They make so much more sense when I make them!" she laughed. Then she hugged me again, "She'll be back, Big Brother. I promise." she pulled away to smile again.
I couldn't help but smile as well. "Thanks. Thank you for the advice. You're such a good sister,"
She scrunched up her face, trying to seem cute, "That's what I'm here for!" she rose off the bed, "Now, it's late and you and I are both tired. Go to sleep. You'll see her tomorrow and so will I," she winked.
I smirked, "Night, Janet. Thanks for talking with me. Made me feel a whole lot better."
She continued to walk to door, "Anytime, Big Bro," and she walked out back to her own bedroom.
