Maria's Point of View
"What happened to the lights, "Maria asked as she tries to grab Amelia.
"I don't know," Marcus stated, "You and Amelia stay here in the kitchen while I go check the electric box."
"I will light some candles while you go check it out," Maria said as she started looking for candles and a lighter.
"Okay," Marcus replied as he gave Amelia a kiss on the forehead, and Maria on the lips. Marcus went to find the electric box, while Maria stayed in the kitchen lighting candles and trying to keep Amelia calm.
"Mommy, I'm scared," Amelia said as she held her mother as tight as she can.
"I know, sweetie," Maria tried to get Amelia to focus on something else, "Hmmm, let's think of something happy."
"Mommy?" Amelia tried to think of something happy to asked her mother.
"Yes, sweetheart," Maria looked down at her daughter.
"Do you really like Mr. Frazier?" Amelia had her head in her mother's lap.
Maria thought for a moment and then said, "Yes, I really do. Why did asked that question?"
"Because he is kind and nice." Amelia stated, "And, he is letting us live with him."
"He is really nice," Maria said as she thought about Marcus. Marcus was a hero to Maria and her daughter. They didn't have anything until that night when Marcus almost hit them with his car. She thinks that God brought Marcus into their life for a purpose.
As Maria was in her own thoughts, she hears the front door open.
"Marcus, is that you?" Maria asked not knowing if it was Marcus or not, so she pulls Amelia close to her.
"Marcus, this is not funny," Maria said as she continues to hold Amelia close to her, "Is it you?"
A female emerges from the dark and said, "No, I'm not Marcus, but I'm his fiancé."
To Maria knowledge, it was Alice Smith. "Marcus told me that he broke off the engagement," Maria sound unassured.
"You think he will leave me for someone like you?" Alice laughed, "You are crazy. You are broke and pathetic. You think he wants to fuck someone like you?"
"Watch your mouth," Maria said getting upset, "My child is right here."
"I don't give a damn about your child," Alice stepped closer to Maria, "She is a filthy mutt, anyway.
Maria couldn't hold her anger in, so she slapped Alice across the face.
"Don't you dare talk about my child like that," Maria said as she pointed her hand in Alice's face.
"I know you didn't just put your filthy hands on me!" Alice exclaimed, "Do you know I am rich? I can have you put in jail, or even have you killed."
Maria bends down so she can look her daughter in the eyes, "Go to your room, and don't come out until I come get you." Maria took a candle off one of the counters and gave it to Amelia. Amelia kissed her mother's cheek and disappeared.
"Now, let me tell you something," Maria said as she walked closer to Alice, "If you want to kill me, then kill me. If you want to put me in jail, then let me give you a reason for you to put me there."
Marcus's Point of View
Marcus found the electric box outside of the house in the backyard. He couldn't come up with any ideas of why the power went off. That's all he thought about was the fact that his dinner plan with Maria and her beautiful, Amelia, has been ruined. He wanted to figure out the problem quick, so he could get back inside to continue his dinner date with them.
He opened the box and looked inside. Come to find out, he discovered that the power wire has been cut with wire cutters. He quickly went to his car to grab his gun. He silently made his way back into the house making sure he keep his guard up. When he made it to the front door he seen that the front door was cracked open.
The first thing that came to his mind was the fact Maria and her daughter might be in danger. He cracked the door open more so he can get through without making any sound, and he also had is gun ready to shoot at any time. When he made his way closer to the kitchen, he heard Maria speaking to her daughter.
"Go to your room, and don't come out until I come get you," Maria said to Amelia. To Marcus, it sounded like Maria was trying to get a candle for Amelia. As Amelia walked out of the kitchen, she spotted Marcus and ran to him.
"Are you okay?" Marcus bent down to look her over to make sure she didn't have any bruises on her.
"I'm okay," Amelia replied, "But, there is a crazy lady in there with mommy."
"Okay," Marcus said as he knew who it was, "Go to your room everything is going to be okay."
Amelia turned and made her way to her room. Marcus continues to get closer and closer to the kitchen. That's when he heard Maria say, "If you want to kill me, then kill me. If you want to put me in jail, then let me give you a reason for you to put me there."
Before he could stop Maria, she tackled Alice to the ground and started to punch her. By the look of Maria, Marcus knew that she was really pissed.
"How dare you talk about my child like that!" Maria yelled as she slammed Alice's head onto the tile floor.
Marcus, successfully, pulled Maria off of Alice. He gave Maria a look over and asked, "Are you okay?"
"Yea, I am." Maria replied, "She had no right to talk about my daughter."
"You are one sick bitch!" Alice yelled as she tried to stand up.
"That's enough!" Marcus exclaimed, "Don't you ever call Maria that again. She is a great person, and I love her. You are trespassing, therefore I'm going to call the police.
Maria's Point of view
The policemen got statements from both Maria and Marcus as they handcuffed Alice and put her in the back of the police car.
"You are making a big mistake!" Alice yelled as they closed the door, "You're just a fuck to him! He will come back to me! He always does!"
"She will not be messing with you guys anymore," one of the policemen said.
"Thank you so much," Jeff said as he closed the door. Marcus called an electrician to get the power back on. Maria, Marcus and Amelia was back in the kitchen.
"Well dinner is cold," Maria said.
"I have an idea," Amelia said as he was holding Marcus hand.
"What is it?" Marcus asked as he kissed Maria on the lips softly.
"Let's just order pizza," Amelia explained.
"That sounds like a great idea," Maria said as she got ready to called Domino's.
For the rest of the night that's all they did was watch movies and ate pizza.
