Maria's Point of View
When they made it to Marcus's house, there was a car in front of it. The limousine pulled into Marcus's yard. Marcus and Natalie quickly know who it was when they helped Maria and Amelia out of the Marcus.
A woman, in her mid fifty's, and a man, in his late fifty's, got out of their car and walked to them. Maria thought that it must have been Natalie and Marcus's parents. They look so much alike in so many ways.
"Marcus, Why have you not picked on my calls?" Marcus's mom asked.
"Natalie and I took our new friends to ice skate, plus I didn't have my phone on me," Marcus explained. Natalie was playing with Amelia while Maria was listening in on the conversation.
"Who are they?" Marcus mom asked ignored, "I've never seen them before." Natalie and Amelia walked next to Maria.
"Mom, this is Maria and her daughter, Amelia," Marcus said as he was pointing them out to his mother, "They are going to stay with me for awhile."
"WHAT?" Marcus's mom and dad screamed at the same time.
"Yes, they are going to stay with me," Marcus told his parents. Natalie knew that it was going to be an argument, so she asked Amelia did she wanted to play the Kinect on the XBox One.
"YES!" Amelia yelled with excitement. Maria was grateful that Natalie took Amelia inside because she didn't need to hear any arguments.
"Why are they stay with you?" Marcus father asked curiously. Maria got tired of them talking about her and her child while she is right there in front of them.
"The reason why I staying with him because I don't have a job," Maria explained to them, " Maria found my daughter and I on the street, and he decided to help us."
"MARCUS!" Marcus's mom yelled,"I know you did not pick up a homeless family to support them! You are not a charity, so why are you helping her? She can sell her body to make money. You don't have to help her."
"MOM, that was rude!" Marcus shouted, " You need to apologize right now to Maria."
"Why?" Marcus's mother asked, " I'm just stating the obvious, but her child won't be worth anything anyway.
Maria was already in tears. "This woman knows nothing about me but is criticizing me," Maria thought to herself. Marcus's dad must have seen Maria crying because he intervene in his wife and son argument.
"That's enough from the both of you," Marcus dad stepped in between them, " Caroline, you need to apologize. You hurt Maria feelings. If Marcus want to help her out, then he can. It's his money that he work hard for not yours."
"Fine, I don't see why I should apologize for I was just stating the obvious," Caroline said as she turn to Maria, "Maria, I'm..."
Before Caroline can get the words out of her mouth, Maria ran as fast as she could.
Marcus's Point of View
Marcus turned to him mother, " Now, you see what you did. She doesn't have anyone, and you just made it worse. She already feels bad because can't provide for her daughter."
"Then, why did she have a child if she can take care of them?" Caroline asked.
"It's not your place to know about her, or the decisions that she made," Marcus told his mom, "I'm helping her, and that's final."
"Whatever, anyways, where is my sweet daughter-in-law at?" Marcus's mom said. He knew that she was trying to change the subject, she was going to hate him even more when he tells her the news.
