Maria's Point of View
Maria walked into Marcus's room after she put Amelia to bad. When Maria entered Marcus's room, Marcus only had on a towel around his waist. She could not stop herself from looking at his six pack abs.
"You like what you see?" Marcus asked Maria as he went into his closet to get some pajama pants.
"Maybe, I do. Maybe, I don't," Maria replied shyly.
"Well, you can look all you want," Marcus told her. Maria did not know how to respond to that comment. She wanted to kiss him so bad it hurts. Maria keeps looking at Marcus's lips. Before she could do anything, Marcus pulled Maria to him and started to kiss her like there is no tomorrow. Maria broke the kiss and went out on the balcony. It's been six years since the last time Maria had sex or made love to a guy. Caleb was her one and only, and it was hard for her to trust a guy to make her feel special and loved.
It was a full moon, and Maria and Marcus were cuddling on the balcony right under the sparkling moonlight. Afterwards, they return to the room devoted to going to sleep, intentionally dimly lit, flowered. And the purposeful dark colored bed sheets made Maria already pink cheeks from the artificial blush turn a darker shade, a natural one this time.
As she moved her fingers through the wind chime, she could feel his gaze on me. Maria could sense it because just a few days together had created a sort of strange telepathy between them. As Maria turned around slowly, she saw Marcus standing right behind her. Tall. Broad. Handsome.
Marcus was looking at her intently, and she could read exactly what his eyes held. Marcus was, is and will always be her knight in shining armor. A knight who pillow fights with her watches romantic comedies with her and cries just as much as she does. Marcus is like her best friend.
This night was different. Maria has always been an overt person. Uninhibited. Bold. The only one in her class to not go weak in the knees because of stage fright, but she was trembling that night. Maria felt goosebumps. Her hands were moist, and so were her eyes.
When Marcus didn't make a motion, Maria took a step towards him, staring into his eyes and asked, "Finally?"
Marcus's eyes twinkled, and he said, "Yes. Finally."
Maria backed up a little lowered her head and spoke softly, "You deserve better than me."
She could see the look of exasperation in his eyes. Maria continued as Marcus sat down on the edge of the bed. His face was gleaming. "You are a prince and, I am just an ordinary girl. You are the most handsome guy I have ever seen and, I am just like any other girl you would see."
Marcus promptly said, "I will not." His tone a mixture of exhaustion and frustration. Marcus got up from the bed and pinned Marcus against the wall, making sure it didn't hurt her. Her breasts were pressed tightly against his chest. The feeling made Maria go weak in the knees. She was shivering. Her eyes closed, and he had locked her hands with his and held them above her head against the wall on both sides.
Maria said, "This. The way you touch me. The way you look at me, I don't deserve this. I am not worth it. You could get so many girls better than me."
Maria could see his eyes were red with tears. She hushed seeing it. He brought his face closer and whispered in her ears, "I want to make love to you now."
Maria quivered and with trembling lips she said, "Enough Marcus, just enough. Why can't you see? I am not worth this paradise. Your arms. You. I am not even in your range of people. I mean look at yourself," she said staring at him, "You are marvelous. And me? My entire body and soul are covered with marks."
