Maria's Point of View
Maria woke up to the delicious smell of bacon that someone was cooking in the kitchen. She looked over to see that Marcus was nowhere to be found, so she decided to get dress and go downstairs to see who was cooking.
When she finally made it downstairs to the kitchen, Maria found Amelia helping Marcus cooking breakfast. Amelia and Marcus, both, had on chef hats and aprons. Maria stood there staring at how Marcus helped Amelia pour a little pancake batter in a frying pan.
"He really does treat Amelia as his own," Maria thought as she looked at Marcus as he picked Amelia up, so she can flip the pancake.
When Marcus's eyes landed on Maria, She blushed and looked at Amelia. Maria thoughts went back to last night when she and Marcus made love. She never thought she can be loved that. Maria always thought that she was a worthless woman because that all everyone was telling her, but Marcus makes her fell like she is beautiful, smart, and sexy.
"Good morning, mommy!" Amelia jumped down from the stool to hug her mother, "Look me and Marcus are making pancakes and bacon!"
"Good morning, sweetie," Maria hugged her daughter, "They smell amazing."
Marcus took the last pancake out of the pan and put it in a plate with the rest. Marcus walked over to where Maria was standing and pulled her in for a kiss. When their lips met, Maria felt her stomach fill with butterflies.
When they pulled back, Marcus looked into her eyes and asked, "You felt it, too?" Maria nodded her head.
"Can we eat now?" Amelia asked impatiently, "I want to taste my cooking."
Both Maria and Marcus laughed at Amelia. "Since you two cooked, I think it's fair that I should fix the plates, " Maria said.
"Nope," Marcus told Maria, "Amelia and I got it. You just sit there and look pretty."
Maria was dumbfounded by what Maria said, but she decided to sit and watch them work. Once they table was set with they food and plates, everyone held hands to blessed the food.
"Amelia," Marcus asked, "Do you want to bless the food?"
Amelia looked shocked, then looked at her mother. Maria nodded her head to give her daughter a little courage.
"Sure," Amelia replied with a shaky voice, "Thank you, Lord,, for the food we are about to receive, and for the nourishment to our bodies. For Christ's sake, Amen."
"Amen," both Marcus and Maria said.
"YAAAAAA!" Amelia cheered, "I did it!"
"Yes, you did, sweetie," Maria kissed Amelia forehead, "I knew you could do it."
"Me, too," Marcus added as he put pancakes and bacon on everyone's plate.
"Mommy, what are we going to do today?" Amelia asked.
"I don't know," Maria replied, "We could have a lazy day if Marcus doesn't have anything to do."
"Ummm, no, I don't," Marcus said, "Today, I am going to spend time with my two beautiful ladies."
"Gosh, he really knows have to make a woman feel special as hell," Maria thought.
Marcus's Point of View
Marcus could not stop thinking about the love making him and Maria did last night. When Maria fell asleep in Marcus's arms, all he could do is watch her sleep. To him, Maria was the best thing that happened to him. He knew that he was falling so deeply in love with her and her daughter, Amelia. At first, Marcus didn't want to have kids with anyone. When Maria and Amelia showed up in his life, he knew then that he wanted to have a family with Maria.
