Maria's Point of View
Maria was walking into her job when her boss called the in the office. She works at a law firm called the Miller's Law Firm as a janitor. She knows that she was late recently, but Amelia was sick and need her to be there with her.
Maria knocked on the door and said, "You wanted to see me, Ma'am."
"Yes, come in and have a seat," her boss told her. Maria took a seat in one of the chairs that were in front of her boss desk.
"I'm so sorry that I've been so late. My little girl is sick and I have no one to watch over her." Maria told her boss.
"I'm sorry to hear that, but you been having poor performances. You are lacking in so many places. By me saying this, you are fired." her boss told her.
" But..." Maria started to say, but her boss cut her off.
"We already hired someone to take your place," her boss reply with a smile.
"But, what about me? What am I going to do? I have a child at home, and I'm living check by check. Please don't do this to me," Maria pleaded.
"You will find another job." her boss now ex-boss told her.
Maria became so furious and frustrated with her boss. Her boss knew what she is going through. Maria was so mad that she threw everything, that was so her boss's desk, onto the floor and exit the room.
She didn't know where to go or who to turn to because her family disclaimed her when she was a younger girl. She knew that she have to provide for her daughter and herself.
When Maria got outside, she waited for the bus to come. She knew that the money that she saved up would not be enough for her and her daughter to live off of. The bus finally got to the bus stop. Maria, with several others, got onto the bus. Maria took her usual seat, then she closed her eyes to think. She knew not to ask her mom and dad for money because for some reason they despise her. Maria has one brother, but he died in a car accident at the age of 18. She doesn't have anyone to depend on or ask for help.
When when the bus got to Becky's Babysitter, the bus slowed down to a stop. Maria and several other people got off the bus. She entered the babysitter business and Becky that she was here to pick up Amelia.
"Hey mommy!" Amelia screamed as she hopped in Maria's arms.
"Hey, sweetheart. How was school? I see you're feeling better." Maria asked her daughter.
"I'm fine, mommy. Look what I draw in school." Amelia said as she handed her mother a picture. It was a picture of Amelia and Maria smiling and holding hands.
"Are you ready to go sweetie?" Maria asked her daughter.
"Yep. Bye, Mrs. Becky!" Amelia screamed happily.
"See you tomorrow, cutie pie," Mrs. Becky said as she gave Amelia a hug.
"I want to say thanks again for picking her up from school for me," Maria told Mrs. Becky.
"You're welcome, baby. You know you are like my child. I will do anything for you." Mrs. Becky said.
"I know," Maria told Mrs. Becky, then gave her a hug goodbye.
"You're ready to walk home?" Maria asked her daughter.
"Yes mommy," Amelia said. They walked to their apartment together.
Marcus's Point of View
Marcus was just finished working with one of his clients when his girlfriend, Alice Smith, walking into his office. He is a big time lawyer at the Miller's Law Firm. He is a friend with Josh Miller, the founder of the law firm.
"Hey, sweetie!" Alice said as he hug and kiss Marcus on the lips.
"Nothing, baby. I just got done working with a client. Say, do you wanna go out for lunch?" Marcus asked her as he was packing his things up for the day.
"Sure," Alice reply.
As Marcus and Alice were walking from his office, they heard a commotion coming from Josh's office.
"But, what about me? What am I going to do? I have a child at home, and I'm living check by check. Please don't do this to me," a woman pleaded.
"You will find another job," Josh told her.
We heard something crash, and then the door opened to reveal a woman in her mid-twenties. She ran out the door.
"Hmmm, I wonder what's that about." Marcus thought to himself.
When they got outside of the office, Marcus and Alice got into his 2014 Infiniti Q70 Hybrid. He drove to the nearest coffee shop to get a cup of coffee and something to eat. Alice sat across from Marcus.
"I was thinking about maybe we sure spend some alone time together," Alice said with a smile.
"Maybe we should," Marcus said grabbing her hand and kissed it.
As they were talking, the waiter came with their food and coffee. Alice winked at the waiter then tell to Marcus.
"What?" Alice asked innocently.
"I saw what you did. How are we support to be starting over, and you trying to flirt with someone else?" Marcus told Alice.
"It was nothing." Alice replied.
Marcus just avoid the conversion. He didn't want to ruin the time that they have together.
After Alice and him have eaten and drank their coffee, Marcus told Alice to her penthouse and gave her $3,000, so she can go shopping.
Marcus got home and went to talk a shower. All he could do was think about the young women that came out of Josh's office.
