Sair:

Dancing with Niall was… it was heart stopping and making my breath fly all at once. He was laughing, talking like there was no tomorrow. I couldn’t help but think that he was actually enjoying himself in my company. Right now, just dancing back and forth with no elegance he seemed to be having fun. I didn’t know what I was having… a heart attack or a internal meltdown. I just kept asking myself the same question over and over again… what was happening to me?

“And step left…”, Niall chuckled, dragging us to left. “And right, and right…”, and two jumps to the right. “And left!”, he giggled, his forehead falling towards mine as he twirled the two of us to the left. I just laughed, in complete awe of the whole of him. “I must say you’re an excellent dancer”, he said, cocking that one eyebrow. I didn’t say anything now either, but I couldn’t take my eyes off him. “This is how we dance in Ireland”, he said, his eyes down at our feet. “Too bad you’ve got such a long dress…”, he hesitated for a second, and then he picked me up with his hands around my waist and spun me around, humming to some irish tune. People were looking, but he didn’t care. I didn’t care at all either. All I knew was that my knees had never been this week.

“Niall…”, I laughed, finally getting a word out. “Put me down”, I begged him, and he did, still holding me up, probably for support since he was nearly falling over with laughter. “You’re crazy”, I told him. He raised his brows and was about to make a comment on that, when his attention was drawn to something else. I turned, seeing Alyssa March approach us. I felt the need to cling to Niall just a little bit tighter, since there was no doubt it was him she was aiming for. But I didn’t. Instead I stepped away from him. “She wants to dance with you”, I said. Niall sent me a glance, his mouth hanging open like he was about to say something.

“Hello”, Alyssa greeted us, even more perfect than the first time.

“Close your mouth”, I whispered to Niall. He did as I told him.

“I didn’t mean to interrupt”, Alyssa said, looking at me with deep brown eyes. How could one color be so very full, and still so special.

“Don’t worry”, I said, pushing Niall forward. “I’m tired anyway, why don’t you two dance for a minute”.

“I would love that”, Alyssa said. “If it’s ok with you Niall?”. Niall’s mouth opened again.

“You know my name?”, he said, making Alyssa laugh, and me flinch. He must have gripped himself hard after saying that, and cleared his throat. Then he did the same bow he had done when asking me to dance… and it stung. “I’d love to”, Niall said. Soon, Alyssa was replaced by me, and I walked away, heading for the bar. Standing there, looking at them, I couldn’t deny they were a great couple. He was a little taller, but not too tall, looking right into her perfect brown eyes. I sighed thinking that those eyes were probably what he was thinking about as well.

“Damn it Sair…”, I mumbled, and found myself pouting where I stood watching the two of them. This was pure jealousy. This stinging in my stomach and chest.

“What are you standing here pouting for?”. Harry’s voice made me look to the right, and there he was, smiling at me.
