“Jesus christ, we’re terrible liars!”, he was gapsing for breath trough the laughter.
“Shhh...”, I giggled, putting a finger to my lips. Niall put his hands over his own mouth, his eyes widening. I knew he was still smiling through. “Love at first sight”, I snorted, laughing at the thought of it.
“It sounded good though, didn’t it?”, he teased me, giving me a friendly bump in the shoulder as we walked down the hall.
“You’re such an idiot”, I rolled my eyes at him, stopping outside the bathroom. Niall just grinned.
“I think I convinced them though, don’t you think?”. I crossed my arms over my chest, laughing. I think we both knew he’d done a pretty good job. “Don’t you think?”, he repeated.
“You did well...”, I finally said, and pushed the door open for him. “Are you going to go or not?”. Niall looked puzzled for a second, like he had no idea what I was talking about.
“Go where?”.
“To the bathroom?!”. He burst out giggling again, throwing his head back.
“I don’t actually have to go! Come on Sair...”, he put a hand to his forehead. “That’s the oldest trick in the book!”. While laughing to himself he started exploring the hallway, peeking up at the photo’s here and there. I felt like a fool, and knew my cheeks were bright and red. They probably had been all night. At least I amused him. I let him go there and look around for a minute, before he found the door to my room.
“Don’t go in there!”, I gasped, reaching out like that would stop him. Niall looked at me, surprised at first. Me telling him not to go in there though, it only made him hurry inside faster.
“What’s the problem? Is this your room?”. He stood in the doorway for a second, staring like he’d never seen a room before. I guess he’d just never seen a teenage girl’s room before. Well, wasn't used to seeing one anyway.
“Yes”, I mumbled, and stood next to him. “And there is nothing to see here, let’s go back out”.
“You have so many books...”, he mumbled, as if he was completely mind blown by it.
“I know...”, I put my hand on his arm and he looked at me. He was smiling. “Can we go now?”, I sighed.
“No, I want to see”, he said calmly, and had come down from being high on the laughter. He walked over, and ran his hand over the four shelves filled with books. “Have you read all of these?”, he asked me, sending me a short glance. I had bumped down on my bed.
“Yes, pretty much”, I shrugged.
“Wow...”, again he seemed to be in awe, and took a book out of the shelf. “Even this?”, he asked, showing it too me. It was one of the thicker ones. But I’d read it several times.
“Yes”, I smiled. “Especially that one”. Niall studied it for a while without saying anything.
