Niall:

I had hid away in my secret flat for the day, since it was drizzling outside and I had nothing else to do than relax. That was fine by me. But only an hour of relaxing passed before someone knocked on my door.

"Niall!". It was Harry. I bit down on my lip, annoyed that my piece had been broken... again. They knew they weren't supposed to come here!

"What?!", I called, not moving a muscle. No way in hell would I get off the couch.

"Come on, it's us!", this time it was Liam who called.

"We got something to drink!", Zayn's voice said. "Thought we could have a little talk". I sighed, but got up to my feet and went to let them in.

"Why?", I asked them, but opened the door. All of them were there, all four. "I thought you would be hanging out with the girls today". Liam bumped down on the couch and shrugged his shoulders.

"They're having lunch with your girl, remember?". Now that he said it I guess he was right. Louis came from the kitchenette, cracking a beer open. I took it from him straight away.

"I thought you said you brought drinks", I snapped at him, taking the beer for myself. Louis chuckled, and bumped down next to Liam.

"We meant we could go out for drinks", Harry said from the chair in the corner. I frowned at them all.

"I talked to Sair by the way", I said, looking at Louis now.

"Oh you did, that's amazing", Louis grinned, wanting me to get even more annoyed.

"She said you're wrong".

"I'm not wrong".

"Yes, about me being a bad boyfriend".

"Fake boyfriend", Liam corrected me, grabbing a handful of peanut from the bowl on the table.

"Right", I smiled. "And she said I was doing a good job".

"Well, I'm not wrong", Louis said.

"Did the girls suspect anything?", I said, raising my eyebrows challenging.

"No...", Zayn said. "But I don't think it's right to use Sair like this".

"I'm not using her", I exclaimed, hating the way that sounded. "She's in on it".

"Come on Niall...", Harry mumbled, bobbing his head at me. Liam took the word from Harry.

"With the status we have, I think a good amount of girls would agree in on a lot", he said to me, lecturing of course. I sighed. Why did they even care?

"Sair's not like that". The guys just exchanged looks. "All she cares about is books".

"Then why is she out having lunch with our girlfriends?", Zayn said. I couldn't deny it. When Zayn first had an opinion on something, there were often good reasons for it. Which meant he had arguments, and they weren't too bad either. They made you think.

"I'm getting her into a school", I sighed.

"You're what?!", Liam exclaimed.

"What's wrong about that?! We're helping each other out!", I shouted back at him, just as frustrated as he was. "It's working great so far".

"Really?", Liam didn't seem too convinced.

"Really", I smiled, refusing to say anything else. They were not taking me down on this.

"Like meeting her parents instead of coming to rehearsals?", Harry mumbled under his breath. There was a short silence, only Zayn typing away on his phone.

"What's happening?", Louis asked him. Zayn looked up.

"It's Perrie, they're done having lunch", Zayn replied. Harry sat up.

"What are they saying?".

"She's coming here", Zayn said. I chocked on my drink, nearly spraying it out all over the place. Everyone looked at me.

"She's what?!", I shouted.

"She's coming here, they all are...", Zayn shrugged. "Well, except for Sair who apparently said she had somewhere to be".

"Oh, how convenient", Louis cooed in a way too high voice.

"This is my secret place", I whined, and couldn't believe they were inviting all the girls over here. I barely wanted them to be in here.

"I hate to break this to you mate, but it's not very secret", Liam said.

"You're just not a very good secret keeper", Louis added with the same expression that told me he was right, and I was wrong. That's how everything worked in Louis' head. "Which is why this relationship...", he didn't get any further before there was a knock on the door.

"It's us!", three voices cooed from outside the door. I groaned, and bumped down on the couch as Louis, Liam and Zayn went to open.

"Wow, girls move quick", Harry mumbled to himself, not getting up either. Soon the girls were hanging their coats up on my wall, all talking over each other, giving their boyfriends either a kiss or a hug. I sat there with my empty bottle, trying not to scowl.

"Hi you two", Perrie was the first one to come and sit down next to me.

"Hi there", I half sighed, half smiled.

"I just had lunch with your girlfriend", she winked.

"I know", I winked with the same tone of voice back.

"Wow...", Danielle stood in the middle of the room, scanning it from floor ceiling. "This is charming". Clearly, she didn't find it too charming at all. I sighed, putting my bottle on the table.

"Thanks Danielle, it means a lot", I mumbled. She just smiled even wider, taking a seat on a chair.

"Well, Sair is lovely Niall", Eleanor said to me, and it sounded like she really did mean it. "Shame she couldn't come, she said she had schoolwork".

"That's right", I nodded, pretending I was familiar with that. "Shame".

"Real shame", Louis said, his arm around Eleanor's shoulders. I sent him a glance, telling him to shut up. Luckily for him, he did.

"She's quite shy though", Danielle said, more to herself.

"Shy?!", I laughed. I didn't find Sair shy at all. Well, maybe a little. Sometimes. Not really. Just a quick blusher.

"Maybe just towards us", Perrie said. "But she's sweet".

"She's good for you", Eleanor added, looking at me with eyes that told me she was serious. Louis cleared his throat once he heard that, and he had decided it was time to leave.

"Maybe we should leave", he said.

"Already?", Harry whined. Danielle and Liam were already up.

"Don't rot away all by yourself in here Niall", Perrie said, ruffling my hair before pushing herself off the couch.

"What's wrong with that?", I shot back at her, but with the same banter she'd given me. Zayn took her hand, leading her away.

"See you later mate", Harry said to me. Soon they were waving from the door, Louis leading ahead. I felt empty once I was alone. But I guess sitting here, with my beer and my football game. This was freedom?
