From what James saw of the Devenford prep uniform, he was glad he didn't attend the private school. He'd rather wear his own clothes than a sweater vest and dress pants with a small Devenford Prep logo on them. Also he found out that just one pair of pants cost over fifty dollars, money like that could be spent on something useful.

"Ready for you new school?" Owen asked, James' father didn't have a class first period and was able to drive his son to school. Until he got his own car and licenses, he'd have to take the bus home from school. James blankly stared at his father, he was still wearing sweatpants and no shirt. "No you aren't."

"I should be homeschooled."

"No." Owen rolled his eyes. "Go get dressed, I don't want you to be late on your first day, or any day." James rolled his eyes, going back to his room upstairs trying to find clothing. "Lacrosse tryouts are coming up!" He called up from down stairs, James rolled his eyes again. He just wanted to sleep for a couple more hours, history, biology, and whatever he took could all wait a couple of more days so he could sleep.

James was back down the stairs within five minutes, two of those minutes was him brushing his teeth, and while brushing his teeth he was brushing his hair. "Ready?" James muttered, grabbing the five dollars his father had put on the counter, he hoped it was enough for a slice of pizza and water. "To sleep forever." James quickly added, hoping his father would hear the stupid comment.

"Aren't we all." Owen agreed with his son. "Did you hear what I said about lacrosse?" James nodded, heading towards the doorway. "Okay, I might have told the coach that you are trying out." His father added, again James nodded not particularly caring. He'd try out anyways, with or without his father telling the coach.

"Okay, okay. Can we go now?" James loved his father, but he had been home for just over a day and he felt like he was being smothered by the man. It wasn't like they never saw each other within the ten months of James sentence.

James would rather to sleep all day, but if school was what it took to get a break from all the current smoother; than he would take it.

James made sure he had his old iPod and extremely old headphones, he had heard a few new songs from a few of his favourite artist, mainly twenty one pilot's music, and some of all time low's songs; plus his new small love for Shawn Mendes.

He had downloaded a few of their songs and would probably listen to them during lunch, and while the teacher lectured about things he already heard about.

James heard Shawn Mendes' music during the car ride, and while listening to some of Fall Out Boy's music on 8tracks he also discovered Hasley and fell in love with her almost right away.

Before his father had the chance to stop the car in the drop off zone, James was out of the car dragging his bag behind him.

James ran his fingers through his hair as he entered the school. High School was just like he remembered, people were trudging around tiredly. "It's Wednesday?" One person walking past, speaking is disbelief, moving her shoulder so she wouldn't bump into James. "Feels like Friday." She groaned, disappointed in everything.

James felt the girl's pain.

James' father had dropped him off thankfully in the front of the school and close to the office. He'd probably get lost trying to find his way there, and because he is stubborn; he would refuse help from everyone.

When James walked in, it seemed like the principal was waiting for him. "James Blake?" He turned his head to face the principal who looked to be pretty new to the school and being a principal. "Welcome to Beacon Hills High School, I'm sure you'll love it here." James nodded, forcing a smile. He was at school, how much could he love it? "Your schedule is in my office, just let me get it." The man disappeared for a second, leaving James enough time to notice the secretaries giving him a dirty look.
