"I fucking told you I was with Scott and Liam!" James shouted at Ella, after James arrived late; way past midnight and both Ella and Owen were furious. James had told both of his parents that he was with Scott and Liam, at Scott's house. He even had his father call Melissa McCall. She lied for both Liam and James, but Ella didn't seem to believe the women.

"What did you do then?" She asked crossing her arms. Owen was in the shower, probably unable to hear the argument between his son and ex-wife.

"Played video games, watched movies, ate food!" It was simple things, and good lies. It was what James normally did.

"You came home soaked." She pointed out, raising an eyebrow.

"I took a shower!" James shouted, Scott had given both of the betas dry clothes because explaining why they were soaked would be difficult. The majority of the time out of the well, James wasn't awake. Ella sighed, looking at James' cracked phone.

Scott had managed to get it back from Garrett before the bastard was murdered while trying to save Violet, who was taken by someone named Kate Argent who lost control and killed Violet anyways.

"How'd you crack it?" She pointed to the phone.

"I dropped it when I was at the hospital with Liam, when he got a sprained ankle." James picked it up, sliding it in his back pocket. "Can you leave now? You're really good at that." James narrowed his eyes at his mother. She sighed, running her fingers through her hair.

"James I made a mistake, I'm sorry! I'm trying to fix that." She begged, sitting on the couch in front of James. James began to laugh, he couldn't believe that she was using that to try and make him forgive her for what she did. She left, and didn't come back. "What's so funny?"

"You." He chuckled, seeing his father stand at the top of stairs. "You left by choice, sure maybe you regret it. I don't fucking care, you can't take me away from the parent that cared about me and stayed with me those nine years you were gone. He stayed with me, you didn't." James said before walking into the kitchen to make himself a late breakfast.

"Ella leave him to calm down." Owen stated, he heard his mother fall back into the couch with a loud sigh. "Why don't we tell him later." Owen suggested in a hushed whisper, James looked up from making his sandwich, frowning. He wasn't meant to hear that, and on a normal day he wouldn't have heard that. Today was not a normal day, and never would a normal day happen again for him. Unless he was able to not be a werewolf again, he was screwed.

"Tell me what?" He asked, raising an eyebrow. Both of his parents looked over, in confusion on how he was able to hear them.

"We've decided to let you pick who you want to live with-"

"Dad, you can leave Ella." James cut her off, his expression showed no regret about this.

"You're going to live with me for the school year, and during the summer you're going to live with your mother and decide on who you want to live with." Owen finished narrowing his eyes at James, the sixteen year old wouldn't move with his mother.

"My answer will remain the same, so can we cut the summer out?" James asked, before stuffing a sandwich in his mouth. Ella and Owen sighed before shaking their head. "Sucks." He spoke with food in his mouth, the fake red haired cringed.

James was in his room watching The 100, and instantly fell in love with Octavia Blake, for many reasons. "James someone's at the door for you." Owen called up the stairs, sighing he slowly got up and listened to who it was. He heard his mother talking, but by the heart beat he could tell it was Liam. Being stuck in a well with him made James learn his nervous heart pattern rather quickly.
