James was worth two million dollars, he wasn't sure if he should feel happy or upset about that. He was worth less than the others, including Liam who was worth three million. Him being worth less than the rest of the pack meant assassins would go after the others most likely, and he had a chance to escape before he was murdered. On the downside he was only worth two million, everyone being more than him was insulting.
Although he hadn't had much time to worry about it because later he got a text to meet at Scott's house to talk about a plan to find the benefactor. He was surprised when he heard the plan, but he wasn't surprised when he discovered that Scott had come up with the plan. Ever since Scott was the one who thought hay kidnapping two teenagers was a smart idea, James doubted that Scott actually had a good idea.
Scott wanted to kill himself, in hopes that the benefactor would come and make sure that Scott; the one worth the most, twenty five million would come and see if he was actually dead. Scott believed that if someone that high on the list was dead, the benefactor would want to make sure. Expect that they couldn't give any visual confirmation about the teenage boys death.
There was probably a better way to do find out who the benefactor was, but no one was suggesting any ideas that would work. Although no one liked the idea, no one gave other suggestions. James sat on the couch in Scott's house, waiting for Kira and her mother Noshiko, the almost nine-hundred year old Kitsune who would be able to help with this terrible plan. She was supposed to make sure Kira did everything correctly, and make sure everything runs smoothly. As smooth as killing someone for forty five ish minutes can go.
Liam sat on the chair across from James, Scott and Stiles talking in the kitchen. Stiles trying to convince Scott to not go through with the plan, because of how bad it was. James was on his phone, playing a random game that he had downloaded and probably shouldn't have because he'd get addicted to it. "You still angry with me?" Liam asked, James glanced over his phone and slowly shook his head. "Really?"
"Why would I be angry at you?" James asked, looking back at the game. One of the bonuses of being bitten by Scott was James' reflexes had gotten a lot quicker, which helped him a lot in games.
"You seemed pissed when we last spoke." Liam shrugged, James closed the app sitting up to properly face Liam. "I was kind of an asshole." Liam admitted, James glanced over at Scott and Stiles who was laughing at something that both of the betas had missed in their conversation. Because the most of the time, they were listening in on the conversation before.
"Not like I was any better." James chuckled, tapping his fingers nervously on his leg. "You're okay Dunbar, we can act like nothing happened. Cool?" James asked, pushing himself off the couch, Liam slowly nodded not fully sure on what James wanted or what he was doing. "Like I said, I don't go for younger guys." Liam nodded, looking at the floor as James walked into the kitchen to get some water.
Liam would lie about this, he was disappointed at how James left the conversation with that comment. It wasn't like it was that much of a difference, only around seven months. It wasn't even a year difference. Liam shook his head, trying to stop himself from trying to find a way to convince James that it wasn't that much of a time gap.
"What happened between you and Liam?" Stiles asked James, the freshmen boy looked over at Scott who had been listening in. Scott nervously smiled before nodding. Scott had been telling Stiles what James and Liam were saying to each other. "You guys aren't going to rip each others throats out are you?"
"Not his." James smiled, Stiles nodded before realizing what James had meant by that. "You're really slow." The beta chuckled, grabbing a glass before heading over towards the sink. Stiles let out an aggravated sigh, watching James head back to the couch.
