In the meanwhile, back in the castle, the king became sick and very ill. He's on his day, lying on his bed, while waiting for the time of his death. He looked around as he's still feel the coldness and the brightness of the day that shines on his eyes. He looked around his room and saw the gray walls of his room, the wooden stands of his bed, the wooden shutters of his bedroom window, and his cape and crown hanging on a stand.

One day, the king looked at his maid.

"Can you summon Princess Victorious?" he asked his maid, still with his severe cough and common cold.

The maid bowed her head.

"As you wish, You Majesty." she obliged.

The maid stood up straight, walked out from the king's bedroom and walked towards Princess Victorious's bedroom at the other tower. She walked towards the other tower, walked towards the top of the tower and knoceked three times before opening the door.

"Princess Victorious," she said at the outside of the door. "King Mortheus summoned you on his chambers."

After she said her intention, the maid immediately leaned her left ear towards the door. But she didn't hear any sound or responses from the princess. So the maid decided to push the door inward and immediately wake the princess on her sleep. She then moved the princess's bedsheet.

"Your Highness," the maid whispered at the bedsheet. "your King has summoned you to his chambers."

But she didn't hear any response from the princess. She decided to pull the covers up and she didn't see the princess on her bed. So she immediately walked down the long staircase to the bottom of the tower and hurriedly asked the guards who are guarding the entrance to the tower over-night to look for the princess around the kingdom.

The guards immediately looked for the princess anywhere around the kingdom. They walked to the marketplace, to the alleys, to the kitchens, to the bakeshoppes, and to the pottery houses but they didn't see the lovely princess. They also looked for the princess under her bed but she didn't see the princess.

Princess Victorious woke up at around five in the morning, before the sun rises up. She tidied up her bedroom and made a pillow decoy for the maid. Then she wore her blue dress with white lace on the neck line that has the sleeves covering her wrists, blue un-heeled shoes, and her heart-shaped silver lacket with the picture of her biological mother that was given by King Mortheus, her father. She also wore her brown hoodie with a brown lace that has a long tail, almost covering her entire self.

She snuck out from her quarters and closed the heavy wooden door shut and she walked down the staircase. She then snuck away from the snoring guards and walked towards the hallway to the front lawn. She looked around and saw nothing but cold air. So she continued heading out from the castle and walked to the houses.

She even silently walked to the marketplace, stole a red apple and decided to sneak out from the kingdom's gate. She walked to her usual spot, under the one-hundred-year-old tree standing at the green meadows located three meters away from the gate, and sat there for hours while breathing the cold breeze. She looked around her when she reached the tree and immediately saw a domestic cattle, a black-spotted cow, a hairy sheep, and three dogs playing at each other three meters from her.

At nine, the princess walked back inside the gate and walked to a small circus tent where performers on their lovely and colorful dresses played a show for the people around the kingdom. She took another apple and, this time, she paid the apple and walked inside the tent to watch a show. She even paid the price for her to see the show. When she got inside the tent, she lowered her hood, looked around the tent and saw almost half of the population of the kingdom-city is there to watch today's show.
