Preparations

A moment of silence again came around us. Then I looked at Ran.

"Soon, a Great Battle will happen beyond the gates of Exphoria." I started. "After the sun sets up, we will prepare for the sudden happening. Some of us will die. Some of us will live. And some of us will suffer pain and agony after the Great Battle."

Then I turned around and looked Ran.

"We may face some deadly and powerful enchantment from the Lich herself." I continued. "I will help King Mortheus and his men to be more accurate and precise on their movements."

Then suddenly----

"Sir Alex," someone said at me that I have to turn around and looked at the person who is calling me. "Lord Mortheus asks your presence at the dining hall."

I looked down at the guard who called my name and immediately leaned at the man.

"Go back to the castle and tell Lord Mortheus that I will follow." I said back to the guard. "Tell him also that let Ran inside the hall. She's my servant from now on."

"Yes, Your Excellency." the guard said at back at me and head back to the castle to inform Lord Mortheus.

When the guard is gone, Ran heard what I just asked to the guard. She immediately kneeled down and bowed down.

"Thank you, my master." she said at me. "I am your servant from now on, until your days will pass."

I walked towards Ran and immediately took her up. I lifted Ran's chin and immediately saw the beautiful face that she's got. She got green eyes, beige complexion, and red lips.

"I might say that you're beautiful in every way, Ran." I commented at Ran after seeing her face. "Do you got lovers from your past?"

"Since I have been consumed by the anger and hatred in myself to Lady Victorious, I did not have a thought of seeing someone." Ran replied.

"Did you kissed someone before?" I asked.

"What is a kiss?" Ran asked.

"A kiss is something that two lips are touching with each other with intense feeling of love, need and hope." I replied. "Like this."

I moved my head towards Ran's head and kissed her lips. Ran was so surprised when I kissed her lips and immediately heard her heart pound faster. She looked at me and saw me closing my eyes. She also closed her eyes and immediately feel the love around her. I opened my eyes and saw her closing her eyes.

So I stopped and stood up.

"You seemed so happy and so excited to the kiss, miss." I grinned at Ran. "Don't get used to it."

Ran opened her eyes and looked at me, grinning.

"Is that a kiss?" she asked.

"Yes, it is." I replied.

"That was quick." she complained.

"You get the longer and the sweetest kiss when someone who you think is the one for you." Then I faced to the castle and smiled.

"Let's go." I said at Ran. "We don't want King Mortheus to wait."

"Okay." she said back.

I and Ran jumped towards the castle and used the poles to get to the ground. We walked inside the castle gates and walked inside the dining hall. When we reached the dining hall, King Mortheus and Lady Victorious looked at me and looked so surprised when they saw Ran Windlash with me. Sir Edward and the others ran towards the king and the princess and immediately guarded them after they saw Ran on my back.
