As the group ate dinner, you felt nauseous the entire time, but, you still ate. You were so hungry. It felt like you hadn't eaten in days. Oh, wait, you haven't.
This moment felt, just like, when you had been on your own for months, after losing your family. You thought once you met Daryl and he brought you into the prison, that things would get better for you. However, they didn't. All that has changed was how many people you have to lose. Also, how many people would lose you. You still lived 'on the road'. You hated living like this. Hated it.
You sat on the ground beside Daryl and stared at the blue collar lying on the ground. You felt like crying. You guessed your face showed all the emotion. Sasha came back with some firewood and stared at you; giving the nastiest stare.
Ever since Tyreese passed, Sasha has been a complete mess. She was irresponsible and erratic. The fact that she gave you that stare said, to you, 'Bitch, I'm the only one that can be sad around here.' Maybe it was your inner girl thinking, but, you did not like Sasha.
You began, slowly, eating your meat again; getting nauseous, you had to stop. You looked over at Gabriel, who had taken off his collar and threw it in the fire, he and Maggie were sitting in front of.
-
After you all sort of replenished, Rick called for everyone to start walking. You walked alongside Carol. You all looked like walkers yourself, with how slow you were walking. In 15 minutes, you'd gotten about a half mile.
You walked a little further, until you saw a rotted body on the side of the road. You looked at it, as you kept walking. You saw Carol was stumbling a little. "You okay?" You asked her, as you saw Daryl walk off through the woods. You sighed. "Yeah. I'm fine. You?" She asked, sweetly. You nodded, looking down.
"Listen, I've known him a long time now. He's the suffer in silence kind of guy. Just let him work out his stuff and he'll be fine." She said. You walked a little further, until you came to a package in the road. There was water, with a letter saying, 'FROM A FRIEND.'
Rick called for a halt and looked at it, cautiously. He walked up to it and grabbed the paper. He walked back, as Daryl emerged from the woods; handing him the paper.
Daryl looked at it, taking off his crossbow, looking around. "So what else are we gonna do?" Tara asked. "Not this. We don't know who left it." Rick said, looking around. "If that's a trap, we already happen to be in it. But I, for one, would like to think it is indeed from a friend. " Eugene stated.
"What if it isn't? They put something in it?" You rhetorically asked him. Eugene darted for a bottle, picking it up and opening it. "Eugene." Rosita scolded. "What are you doing, dude?" Tara asked. "Quality assurance." He said, lifting it up to his mouth. Abraham stepped up and smacked it out of his hand.
You all looked at Abraham, as he stepped back. "We can't." Rick said, as thunder started to rumble again. You all looked up at the sky and it finally rained!
It felt so good. The cool, wet rain running down your body, made you feel refreshed. "Everybody get the bags. Anything you can find. Come on." Rick commanded. Some of you laid out bottles to fill them. Judith started crying, as the thunder intensifies. You looked up at the sky. Thick, dark clouds were coming in fast. It wasn't safe to be out here. "Uh... Rick?" You said, as everyone stood up and looked. "Let's keep moving." Rick said.
"There's a barn!" Daryl shouted over the thunder.
-
When you all got to the barn, you were soaking wet. Your clothes stuck to your body, as you CLEARED the barn with Daryl, Rick, Glenn and Maggie. "It's clear." You said, as the rest of the group came it.
In just a few hours, nightfall had graced us with its presence. You decided to get some actual rest, and went to lay by yourself in the corner. You laid on a red horse blanket that was draped over a prod. You spread it out on the dirt floor and tried to let the thunder lull you to sleep.
You were just about to fall asleep; you felt a hand shake you awake. You sat up and put your back up against the wall. You groaned to yourself. 'Why can't I just sleep once?' you questioned yourself. You gently threw your head against the wall.
It was Daryl; "Hey, You up?" "I am now." You shot. "Sorry. I just--- Nevermind..." He said, motioning to sit next to you. You nodded and scooted over on the blanket. He sat down next to you, propping up his crossbow against the wall, and looking forwards.
"You good?" You asked. He slightly nodded. You knew what kind of person Daryl was; he didn't like when people pressed. So, you didn't. You just nodded in response and put a comforting hand on his, which was resting on the blanket in between you two.
"Go back to sleep." He said. You leaned up against him and closed your eyes. You were soon asleep.
A few minutes later, Daryl got up and gently laid your head on the blanket, trying not to wake you up. You woke up anyway, "Where are you going?" You asked, dazedly. "I'll be back." He said, before leaving; you soon fell asleep again, thereafter.
-
You heard Daryl gasp and thrust. You sat up, suddenly and saw Daryl forcing his weight on the door. You looked around the room. Maggie did the same thing. You two looked at each other and got up hurrying to help Daryl.
Maggie went on the left side of Daryl; you went on the right. All three of you pushing all your weight on the door, to keep walkers out. They were so forceful. Soon, the three of you were joined by the rest of the group; all pushing up against the door.
You dug your heels into the mud and slid, as you pushed against the door. You'd readjust and do it all over again. For hours.
-
Throughout the night, Daryl refused on sleeping. You knew he just wanted to protect the group. He never said it though, but he didn't have to.
Maggie was the first to wake. She stood up and saw you and Daryl sitting along the far wall of the barn. She looked at the two of you, concerned. She took in a sharp breath and walked towards you two. She sat down beside Daryl and looked down at the ground. You both looked at her.
"You two should get some sleep." She said; you looked at Daryl. He nodded, "Yeah." "It's okay to rest now." She said, looking over at Sasha.
"He was tough." You said. "He was." "So was she." You and Daryl said, simultaneously. "She didn't know it, but she was." Daryl said. Maggie let out a small laugh.
You picked up an old music box, which Carl found for her and handed to her. "The gearbox had some grit in it." You said. "Thank you." You and Daryl gave her a smile.
She got up and walked over to Sasha. Daryl took off his vest and made it into a pillow. He laid down and closed his eyes, attempted for sleep. You did the same; laying opposite of him. -
