Dani's POV
"Stay back beautiful." San said pushing me back, like she was defending me with her own body. "We're going the other way."
I was panicked. I didn't know what to do or say. I couldn't. It's been so long since I last felt like that, like I ran out of air and I'm slowly drowning. My head and stomach started to hurt, and the whole place was spinning. I think I was about to fall, or fell, because a second later I found myself in San's arms.
"Dani?" She asked. I tried to reply but no voice left my mouth, I felt hopeless. My vision became blurry, and I started to see black dots everywhere. Slowly losing my sight, I tried to hold to San, feeling her against me, to know I'm still alive. The only things I remember were her worried face, and my mother. She looked at me back from distance, she saw me.
And then everything went black.

"I'm so scared ma..." I heard San's voice echoing. It sounded like she was far far away from me. "I don't know. It's been so long since she had a panic attack..." As long as I listened to her voice it felt like she was getting closer and closer. "I'm so damn worried..." I heard her again. "She's out for almost an hour.. Ma this is serious."
I could tell now she was right next to me, but I just couldn't open my eyes. It made me panic, and I tried to talk, but no voice left my mouth.
"Ma, it think she's waking up. I'll call you later." I heard San's voice again.
I tried with all the powers I had to open my eyes, but it didn't work. I felt again like I don't have any air, and I was panicking again. I tried to call for some kind of help, but my voice didn't work too.
Then the face of my mother came to me again. I saw her, I looked her straight into the eyes. She was there, real and there, after almost 6 years I escaped from her. She saw me, she recognized me. Oh god.. I needed air, I felt like I was chocking.
"Mother." I said without will. It just came out of my mouth, but at least something came out. "Mom." I said again.
Then I could finally feel, and I felt a sharp pain in my arm. I started to feel the mattress I was lying on, and when I moved my hand I could feel San's. I would recognize her touch anywhere.
"Dani." I heard her sweet voice again.
And then my eyes finally opened. The burning white light made my head hurt immediately, but I fought it and kept my eyes open, blinking a few times to focus my blurry sight.
"I saw her." I told San. I have to tell her, she has to know.
"Shh don't talk." She said.
Then I realized I had a mask on, breathing me air. Which made the feeling of running out of air ridiculous. I recognized the pain in my arm then, I know it too well, that's an IV attached in there. Yep. I'm in a hospital.
"She was there San." I insisted on talking. I felt like I could, so why shouldn't I?
"I know, I saw her." She replied. "How are you feeling?" She changed the subject.
"My head hurts.." I mumbled, closing my eyes as I lifted the hand without the IV to message my temple. "What happened?" I asked, hoping it wasn't what I think it was.
"The usual..." She replied with a small shrug. A panic attack. I didn't have one in so long, it feels like I'm back to square one. And I fucking hate it, because I just now came out of treatment and everything is just getting worse. "You were out for like, an hour.." She said, standing up from the chair she was sitting on and sitting herself on the edge of the bed, starting to play with my hair. I relaxed to her touch and made myself sigh in relief. At least it's over.
