The Pirate Princess

Chapter 2

Chapter 2                                                                      

I could see a little on what was going on out of a hole between barrels. The crew and the captain of my ship fought hard to keep control of the ship. The clashing of swords was terrifyingly loud at first but I eventually got use to it. The fight did not last long.

The person that I guessed was in charge spoke first. He had dark brown hair and light blue eyes. He was wearing a loose white, flowing shirt and trousers. He was also wearing knee-high boots. "I am looking for the Captain. Is he here?" he asked the crew.

The crew looked around to find the Captain. He stepped out of the crowd and in front of the guy who spoke. "Yes I am he." he said. "What is it you want with us?"

"I want treasure. Do you mind if we search your ship?" the Captain didn't say anything. "Do you have anything valuable on your ship?"

"No."

"I don't trust your judgement. We are going to search anyway." he motioned his hand and his men scattered around to search the ship. I sunk deeper into my position. Sadly I could not go far. I was spotted instantly. Two men grabbed me and pulled me in front of the man in charge. I tried to fight but their grip on me was too tight.

"Sir we found her hiding behind some barrels." one of the men holding me said.

"Who are you?" blue eyes asked.

"My name is Serena." I told him.

"Well Serena may I ask where this ship is headed and for what purpose?" he asked me.

"We are on our way to England. We are to negotiate trade with the royalty there." I said. Blue-eyes looked surprised for a second but the expression disappeared instantly. It was like it wasn't even there. "Rex take her to the Captain on the Revenge will you?" The man who I suspected was Rex nodded and motioned me forward. He led me to the side of the ship where there was a ladder. There was a life boat waiting a the bottom. I climbed down the ladder (which was very difficult in my dress) and sat down in the boat. Rex got in after me and pulled out two oars and started rowing. We reached the ship that Blue eyes called the Revenge in a matter of minutes. We climbed up yet another ladder and reached the deck. The crew stopped what they were doing and stared right at me. I was very uncomfortable. I heard a noise behind me and looked too see that blue-eyes was right behind me.

"Stop staring. Get back to work." he told them. They immediately did, not wanting to push their limits. "Get ready to set sail again." he said. He turned to me and said, "Come on. I will take you to my father."
