Epilogue

Epilogue

After father said that Ky and I could marry, time seemed to slow down. When we pulled apart Ky smiled at me and lifted his hand to wipe the tears off my face.

I wiped the tears off of his face as well and said. "Thank you for all you said Ky. It means so much to me." I said to him, smiling.

"I meant every word." he said. He kissed me again and I grinned when we pulled apart.

"Serena did you actually go eat?" Ky asked me. I laughed an 'I am guilty' laugh and said. "Nope." I said, grinning.

He gave me a quick peck on the lips before saying. "Let's go eat. I am sure your father is grossed out by now." Ky said and I laughed. We both turned to look at my father who was smiling.

"I surprisingly am not but I am hungry. Now let's go eat." father said.

"Father can I speak with you for a second?"

"Of course Serena." I turned to look at Ky and he nodded, understanding.

"I'll see you in the dining room." he said.

I kissed him on the cheek. "Thank you. See you in a minute." I said. He smiled then left. The first thing I did when Ky left was hug my father.

"Thank you father. You have no idea how much I love him." I told him.

"I know you love him. Now what is it that you wanted to tell me?" he asked.

"Are you alright?" I asked him.

He smiled when he replied. "To be honest, I am great. I am complete now that you are back in my life. It feels so good to see you smile and I am so happy that you have forgiven me. That means so much to me. I wish I could've apologized to you sooner."

"That's my fault. I was never quite told what happened after we left when the wedding got disrupted." I told him.

"And you will find out. Why don't we go have lunch and then we can tell you all that has happened to us this past year."

"Alright." I agreed. He held out his arm and I took it and together we walked to the dining room. Lunch that day was great. It was nice to finally speak with my family and catch up on things with them. Both mine and Ky's family bonded in that way.

When we were done eating, father kept his promise. "Alright Serena it's time for you to hear what happened to us when you, Ky and his family left." Father said. He shifted a little bit in his seat as if he was nervous before continueing. "When you guys left, the pirates ransacked us. They took a lot of our money and they took down a lot of homes. While we rebuilt homes, we had the villagers who did not have a home stay here until they did. The pirates took a lot of our supplies and so we could no longer send Alexander's family and goods. We had messengers kept coming from their country telling us how much trouble they were in and we felt horrible. We could not provide the supplies and food that they needed because we needed all we could spare for our people. At the last minute, the country Angelica helped us out by providing food and supplies. We now trade with them and help them out as well. We are now back to how it use to be. Everything is back in order." Father said.

"When the royalty from Angelica came, that is about when we found out that you were dead from some pirate. He told us that he was from your ship Ky and that he watched as you died. I didn't realize that he was a pirate until now. We were foolish to believe him. Now that I think about it, if you really were dead and you died with Ky, then he would have returned your body to us." Father added and Ky nodded in agreement.
