Chapter 11 - A bleeding nose

Third-Person's POV

Shannon slammed the door of her car loudly as frustration showed all over her face. She walked at the entrance of Rosewood High School with Lucy spotting her instantly and walking hurriedly to her side as her high heels made loud 'clicking' noises and echoes through the hallway.

"Who put piss on your cereal today, Shan? It's the first day of our last year here in hell. Lighten up a little bit would ya'?!" Lucy stated, observing the sourpuss face Shay had on.

"Lighten up?! How do you expect me to lighten up?! I'm currently walking into Hades' domain right now with having no desire to live my life! A lot of bad lucks have been happening endlessly and it just can't seem to stop! It goes on and on and on and on!" she started talking nonsense. "And Ashley is..." she trailed off remembering yesterday's event with Ashley.

"Ashley? What about Ashley?" Lucy asked her curiously.

"It's just...nothing, never mind!" replied Shannon with a dull tone.

"It's obviously nothing if you're acting like this Shan. You know you can approach me anytime right? I'll always be here for you if you need anything." Shannon smiled at the concern and care of her friend for her.

"As in anything! If you need tampons, condom, a guy to make out wi-" A playful slap reached Lucy's arm along with a laugh from Shay.

"It's nothing really, thanks for the concern though. I really appreciate it." She smiled warmly to Lucy's direction.

"No problem! As soon as you're ready to talk about anything, or Ashley to be precise, you know where to find me." Lucy spoke winking at Shay.

As if on cue, Ashley suddenly appeared on the entrance of the school with Troian by her side. Lucy called out to them and for a moment Shay and Ashley's eyes met, their eyes showing different emotions at the moment. Realizing they were deeply looking into each other's eyes, Ashley quickly averted her eyes from Shay.

"Hey guys!" Lucy waved at the blonde and brunette, being the bubbly person she is.

"Hey Little Lu! Hey Shan!" Troi hugged both Lucy and Shannon while Ashley waved a hello to Lucy not even acknowledging Shay's presence.

Shay let out a small 'hey' to Ashley's direction, but Ashley ignored it pretending to look around the hallway for her other friends.

Lucy, recalling the conversation between Shay and her a while ago, took a glimpse to Troian looking at each other for a while knowing that there's something going on between the two. Before the awkwardness drowned them the first bell rang indicating that they should go to their first period.

'Saved by the bell' Shannon thought. Troian hurriedly and rigidly taking Shay's hand dragging her out of the small group, and waved a goodbye to Lucy and Ashley.

"We have Chemistry as first period!!! See ya' later losers!" Troian called out her other hand out as a piece sign. The other girls chuckled at Troian's dorkness and waved at them back.

Shay's POV

"What the hell Troi?!" Troi was still gripping my hand tightly when we arrived in the entrance of our Chemistry lab. I see a couple of students already sitting neatly in their desired places talking and chatting loudly while some other students are rushing in the classroom obviously afraid to get a tardy slip from the first day of class. But as I scan the room the teacher is nowhere to be found.
